Entravision Dazzles

Washington, DC

On July 9, 2017, Entravision Washington, DC participated in the Festival Latino de Virginia (Virginia Latino Festival), a music festival presenting acclaimed artists in the Latino music industry. The event drew attendees from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas.

El Paso

El Paso held its Upfront 2017 presentation on July 12th at the Coronado Country Club in El Paso.

The event showcased Entravision’s programming lineup, on air talent, and growth initiatives to existing as well as potential clients and advertisers. Special guests included Don Daboub, Executive Vice President for Mountain and West Texas Regions, Andrea Beccerra, La Tricolor Regional Brand Manager, and Ruben Nieto, El Paso’s TV National Integrated Marketing Solutions Manager. Entravision Dazzles

Orlando

On July 14th, Entravision’s 98.1 Salsa y Mas continued its yearly En Vivo Concert Series.

In observance of Colombian Independence, Entravision Orlando and Hard Rock Live joined forces to bring Floridians a one-of-a-kind concert with Silvestre Dangond to celebrate 207 years of Independence. The event was so well attended that it SOLD OUT!

Boston

The Puerto Rican Festival is one of the City of Boston’s signature events that brings together people from all heritages to share in the Puerto Rican culture. The three-day July event is held at Boston’s City Hall Plaza where attendees celebrate traditions and honor Puerto Rico’s history. The festival consists of live performances, vendors selling typical Puerto Rican food, local arts and crafts, rides and different activities for the entire family. The festival ends with the Puerto Rican Parade, where the community showcases its culture through beautiful floats, colorful dance troupes, singers, dancers and guest appearances by distinguished honorees. This year marked the 50th anniversary for the festival, and Entravision Boston was a sponsor of the event. Katiuska Valiente, multimedia journalist for Entravision Boston, attended the event’s opening ceremony.

The Boston News Team along with the Regional Weather Anchor attended the prestigious Latin Boston USA 2017 Awards in August. Celebrities and local media talent were present as nominees, and winners were presented with trophies. Noticias Nueva Inglaterra and the Production Manager won awards in each category which they had been nominated: Best Newscast Team Best Anchor (presenter/host): Katiuska Valiente Best Reporter (woman): Maria Isabel Gonzalez Best Weather Reporter: Cesar Flores Best Local Program: Pachanga Latina- Francis Concepcion Congratulations Entravision Boston!

Sales Success Stories

July Top IMSCs

Tier 1 Within a short period since her promotion from sales assistant to IMSC, Ivelisse Padilla has risen to achieve success as a strong seller for Entravision Orlando. Most of the accounts Ivelisse had on air in July were new and developed by her exclusively, a significant accomplishment. In addition, they were mainly radio accounts which Entravision Orlando has had a big push on this year. Ivelisse had $15,280 of Radio New Business and $2,000 of TV New Business which was 34% of her total revenue dollars. Keep up the excellent work Ivelisse!

Tier 2 Michelle O’Berg has been with Entravision for over ten years and is currently Entravision Boston’s senior IMSC. In the month of July, Michelle hit 210% of her goal and had nearly 20% of her quota attainment from new business accounts! Michelle embodies what it means to be a leader, team player, and role model to the Boston sales staff. She is adept with new business cold calling and establishing long lasting client relationships. Congratulations Michelle!

Tier 3 Jose Martinez Candido, IMSC for Entravision Reno, celebrates 3 years of service with Entravision this month. In July, Jose ranked as the top seller for the Tier 3 market finishing above and beyond his Digital and Broadcast goals. Jose brought in 8 new businesses in July which represented 30% of his actual overall number. In addition, he sold the most remotes in a back to school giveaway for backpacks filled with school supplies. Jose is consistently the leader in new business development and local direct sales. Entravision thanks Jose for his hard work and dedication!

July Chairman’s circle

The Entravision’s Chairman’s Circle Award recognizes our top Sales Producers. These individuals are dedicated and passionate about what they do. Month to month they are making superior sales achievements to Entravision’s top line sales growth. Every IMSC invited to the Chairman’s Circle each month has met at least 100% and 105% respectively of their Digital and Broadcast Goals.

Aspen

On July 17th, Samuel Bernal, Station Manager for La Tricolor KPVW-FM in Aspen, Colorado, joined the director of the Aspen Art Museum in Washington DC to receive an award recognizing the museum for its programs. La Tricolor and the museum have partnered in a program called “Arte in Español” which provides art making and appreciation both at the museum and through broadcasts on La Tricolor. We would like to recognize and thank Samuel for his efforts with the community in Aspen.

Orlando

Entravision Orlando held its annual “Back-2School” event. It has maintained its promise to support the community and gave away over 1,000 book bags and school supplies to families in Central Florida. The Orlando-Metro area responded and more than 5,000 people showed up to spend time with Entravision Orlando reporters and 98.1 Salsa y Más jocks.

Entravision Orlando’s mission remains to serve its community, while increasing its footprint in Central Florida.

Pam Bias, Senior Business Operations Manager for Entravision Boston, was asked by ALPFA Boston (Association for Latinos Professionals for America) to participate in their 6 month coaching and mentoring program for 2017. This is Pam’s third year of participation. The program is designed to facilitate relationships among the rising stars of Boston’s professional community and the established ALPFA Boston Boston leaders. On August 16th, the ALPFA held its 5th monthly meeting at Suffolk University. Thank you Pam for your commitment to the local Latino Boston community!

Every quarter a different department at Entravision Orlando hosts a special gathering for other departments. Most recently, the G&A and Traffic departments hosted an Asian themed afternoon for the whole station. Everyone enjoyed delicious food, spent quality time with one another, and shared in laughs while enjoying a break from the daily routine.
