About Our School

BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIES

To ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all of our students, our school has implemented a Student Safety and Management Plan designed to help students report instances of bullying and harassment and seek support immediately and discretely. Each case of reported bullying and harassment is handled individually and with great care. Our teachers are currently engaged in professional learning around improving school climate and culture and our entire staff is trained annually on methods for recognizing and preventing bullying and harassment. Our school has a team of students specially trained in supporting peers through a strengths based approach to suicide prevention.

Our school also offers Fall and Spring community engagement events known as Middle School Extravaganza and Open House. For parents where English is a second language, we provide language supports as needed.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

We partner with local organizations and businesses to provide students with learning opportunities that connect them with our community. Our school has partnerships with the local Library, Parks and Recreation, Community Health, and local businesses where students can participate in programs and gain volunteer experience. Each year we host events on campus that bring community partners into the school and we organize activities where students are going out into the community to participate. Many of our community partners engage in programs with our school to provide services and resources to our families in need.
