About Our School
BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIES
Our school has a CDS (Child Development Specialist) who visits every classroom every six days. She teaches lessons on socio-emotional needs, how to address bullying and harassment, conducting oneself with integrity and honesty, among many other topics. We have skills groups for students who are struggling (e.g., connecting with others appropriately, strategies for behaving appropriately on the bus, etc.), and we employ a number of strategies for connecting adults and students for positive reinforcement.

About Our School

To ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all of our students, our school utilizes PBIS and Fremont’s EPIC values. Our PBIS team works with students, our counselor, school staff, and parents on a case-by-case basis to address conflict between students and to provide counseling for harassment and strategies to address and prevent bullying.

At RHS, our primary objective is to enhance our graduation rates by promoting consistent attendance among our students. Our ultimate goal is to have a regular attendance rate of over 90%. To achieve this, we collaborate with our students to emphasize the significance of attending school on a regular basis. We meticulously track the data on student progress toward graduation and aim to have over 90% of our ninth-graders on track to graduate. Above all, we aspire to see more than 90% of our students graduate on time.

ADVANCED COURSEWORK
Roseburg High School provides numerous Advanced Placement and dual enrollment courses through our partnership with local community colleges and four-year universities.
AP courses: Calculus, US History, US Government, Spanish, German, English Literature, Biology, Psychology and Human Geography
Dual-enrollment courses: Pre-calculus, Calculus, Precalculus, World Languages, Medical Terminology, Composition, Writing, US Government, History of the United States, Nursing Assistant, Healthcare, and Child Development.
CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION
At Roseburg High School, we are committed to enhancing our CTE programs and courses. With nine diverse programs of study available, our students can earn advanced certificates and dual credit. Our programs encompass a wide range of fields, including woodworking, automotive technology, business, drafting, early childhood education, culinary arts, manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare. Our courses are designed to not only equip students with the skills they need to succeed in college and beyond but also offer them valuable internships and employment prospects.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
RHS offers a diverse range of academic and extracurricular activities, with over 40 options to choose from. During the 2022-23 school year, we had a total of 761 rostered athletes for the Fall, Winter, and Spring teams. Students also participated in various clubs such as the National Honor Society, Interact Club, Altrusa, Key Club, World Language Club, Robotics, Math Club, Drama Club, Clay Club, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, Skills USA, Unified Special Olympics, and more. If a student is unable to find a club that interests them, we are always happy to help them start their own. Additionally, we provide 19 OSAA athletic teams and various club sports. Our goal at Roseburg High School is to cater to the unique interests and needs of every student.
