ABOUT ME !

I am a Fashion Design graduate from NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome, specializing in knitwear and material manipulation. My work combines technical knowledge with a strong visual and conceptual approach, focusing on texture, structure and storytelling through clothing.

I am both analytical and creative, with a keen attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. My professional experiences ranging from luxury packaging at Hermès to art direction in the fragrance industry have strengthened my understanding of branding,

visual communication and the relationship between product, image and experience.

I am passionate about experimentation and craftsmanship, and I aim to create designs that merge artistry with functionality, emotion with technique.

This project originated from Juergen Teller’s book I Need to Live (2023), a photographic exploration of vulnerability, intimacy, and the raw reality of the body. Teller’s unfiltered visual language influenced my approach to knitwear, guiding me towards fragile constructions, open structures, and garments that exist in a state between protection and exposure.

DARK SEAS PROGENY

At the core of this project lies the idea of movement: the garments appear to live in harmony with the body, evoking an unprecedented fluidity that recalls drifting through the darkness of the deep sea. The fabrics, light and dynamic, give the impression of floating underwater, caressing the skin and adapting to gestures with natural grace. This abyssal aesthetic is further enriched by forms and textures reminiscent of fossils, shells, and other organic traces of the seabed, suggesting a deep connection between the human body and the natural environment.

STUDIO DEL FIGURINO

Her pupil-less eyes express a magnetic and disquieting gaze, both seductive and disturbing. Her wet, disordered hair reinforces a wild and ethereal presence, while her soft, flushed lips introduce a quiet sensuality.

White hair and eyebrows evoke a dreamlike aesthetic, enveloping the figure in an otherworldly and enigmatic aura.

Lampedusa and the Pelagie Islands are defined by the deep and shifting colors of the sea, both on the surface and in its hidden depths. For centuries, these waters have shaped the island’s identity, becoming one of the Mediterranean’s most important centers of natural sponge production.

The first sponge banks, locally known as “sponze,” were discovered around 1870 by the fisherman Leonardo Augugliaro, transforming the island’s economy. Soon, the saccaleva traditional boats used for sponge fishing reached Lampedusa, carrying Greek, Dalmatian, and Tunisian fishermen drawn by the richness of these waters. This activity ensured prosperity for nearly fifty years, becoming one of the island’s most important economic resources before the rise of tourism.

Although the introduction of synthetic sponges led to a decline in the market, this ancient craft has never disappeared. Even today, natural sponges are still harvested in smaller quantities and carefully processed in Lampedusa’s artisanal workshops, preserving a deep and enduring connection between the sea, the material, and the human body.

SACCALEVA

This project originated as a graphic design exploration of Lampedusa’s sponge fishing heritage. Through knitwear, these visual and structural references were translated into textile form. The fishing nets became open knit structures, the ropes evolved into manipulated yarn tensions, and the archival system informed the modular garment construction.

The fashion film originates as an elusive thought, an idea silently echoing within the confines of the mind, trapped inside its own boundaries. It is during the night suspended between uncertain dreams and distorted reality that this vision finally takes flight. The night itself becomes the sea, and within this liquid, timeless vastness, the idea reunites with its lost love, its missing half.

The two exist alone, free, cradled by the waves gentle yet dangerous caresses that both comfort and threaten. Water becomes refuge and weapon, memory and future. The protagonist inhabits her own memories, moving through them and reshaping them. They evolve within her, transforming into pure emotion, becoming the beating heart of the film itself.
