Slight Seller's Advantage Market Narrative

The market has been cooling over time and prices have recently flattened. Despite the consistent decrease in Market Action Index (MAI), we’re in a Seller’s Market (where significant demand leaves little inventory available). If the MAI begins to climb, prices will likely follow suit. If the MAI drops consistently or falls into the Buyer’s zone, watch for downward pressure on prices.

About Our School

BULLYING, HARASSMENT, AND SAFETY POLICIES

The Canby School District is dedicated to providing a learning community that is free of bullying, harassment, racism, and discrimination of any kind. We use the Second Step curriculum to teach students skills to work with their peers and also support students in reporting incidents that are unsafe so we can work to resolve them. Anyone can report an incident through the SafeOregon application or website. We have a full-time counselor at our school as well as a behavior instructional assistant to support students as needed.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Ninety-One School partners with our PTO and community organizations to provide a variety of after-school activities. Middle school sports include cross country, volleyball, basketball, wrestling and track and field. We also offer after-school band experiences and a spring play.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT

The Canby School District strives to build, maintain, and expand strong partnerships with parents and families. We value parent voice and collaborate with families to support our students in and out of the classroom. Purposeful and ongoing bilingual communication with parents and families provides essential and helpful information to increase student achievement. Increased communication is evidenced by our weekly newsletter and teacher use of the platform REMIND to communicate via emails, texts, and phone calls. Additionally, we have family nights and parent-teacher conferences to connect directly with our parents.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The Canby School District is thankful for our community partnerships. We connect with the City of Canby and other partners, working to build mutually beneficial relationships. These partnerships help to develop a well-rounded education for all of our students. Our community partners provide internships, scholarships, field trips, job shadows, Reading Mentors, Backpack Buddies (extra food for weekends), and other educational opportunities.
