About Us
From the early beginning in 1974 we began selling Viking toys to the school and kindergarten markets around the world. This became, and is still today, a very important and successful part of our business. Today, 80% of our turnover is in the school and kindergarten markets.
The simple reason is because of our 5 S’s.
SAFE - Tested according to European and US standards. We use only virgin plastic which contains no phthalates or BPA.
SOFT - Soft, pliable material and smooth round forms
SIMPLE - Awakens the child’s imagination and fantasy
STRONG - Try our best test... jump on a truck!
SILENT - Soft wheels mean low noise levels
Another aspect which is important for the school market is that Viking toys are DISHWASHER SAFE and can be played with both indoors and outdoors.
Accordingly, all of our toys are tested by independent accredited laboratories according to EN71, ASTM, ISO 8124, CPSIA and AS/NZS standards and our factories are of course, ISO 9001 and ICTI Care certified. In addition, our extensive in-house testing helps to assure that all Viking toys are absolutely safe for even the youngest child.
We constantly strive to improve our toys and we regularly go through our entire program in order and make changes to improve it.

"Our common future". We know that our children, and theirfuture children, would not want their play to be the basisof an inferior earth. Play is fundamental in the lives of allchildren, even in many adults, and it should continue to beso. We are constantly working to develop our productionof toys, from beginning to end, to achieve as good and asfair a journey as possible.
- We strive to have no waste in our production – e.g. allplastic waste from the production is recycled
- Take sustainability into consideration already in theproduct design process – both for the toy itself(recyclability, disassembly etc) as well as packaging to beable to reduce packaging to maximum
- Minimize waste through planning and never sending airwhen transporting
- All our toys are designed for disassembly, are fullyrecyclable and made from materials that are easily
- All our toys for children below 3 years are made from foodgrade plastics, to ensure the cleanest and safest materialpossible
- We have focus on producing gender neutral toys

- We submit our toys to severe testing to ensure safety andstrength
- We design our toys to be used with elements such as soil,sand and water, which will encourage the child to explorenature using their senses and motor-functions.

- We always choose train before flights in domestic travels
- There are no defined stories attached to the toy and noinstructions of how to use the toy. This inspires open-endedplay, which stimulates the child’s imagination andcreativity.
