Healthy Kids in the Bon Appétit Kitchen With Spring break quickly approaching, it's the perfect time to engage the community through our Healthy Kids culinary education program.

If you have any accounts that may be interested in offering a fun, hands-on experience for kids this Spring, we’d love to help coordinate a Healthy Kids class at their location. These sessions offer interactive cooking activities and creative learning zv opportunities centered around healthy eating.

Food Allergy News: New FOH Disclaimer Compass released an update (QA-26) and BAMCO has its own version of this signage, which we have just updated with new language to align with Compass standards.

To ensure consistency, accounts should replace all existing FOH mini-posters with the updated version.

The new signage now calls out the potential for cross-contact in certain spaces.

Beef Swap 2026 The 2026 Beef Swap officially kicked off on January 1st and will continue through February.

Spot the beef, swap the beef is a menuing strategy to reduce reliance on beef in our cafés and is a strategy that can be executed after the challenge is over to help you meet the Project Impact 2026 goal to reduce boxed beef by 15%.

Find a meal that contains beef and swap it for a nonbeef protein (poultry, pork, seafood, plant-based).

Finally, just add the beef swap icon which has been added to Cafe Manager.

Each café should swap at least one beef menu item per week, but consider swapping one beef item per day or changing out a beef item on your static menu for a larger impact and for more chances to win!

Cornell College Healthy Athletes Education 115 student athletes from Men’s Soccer, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Wresting, Women’s Lacrosse, and Softball took a deeper more sport specific dive into fueling for their sport.

The students appreciated a more personalized approach and (as always) loved the build your own snack mix and house-made sports beverage in the room!

Northwestern Food For Your Well-Being | Power Your Day 135 students joined us to sample a delicious, house-made overnight oat recipe and learn all about the importance of starting your day off with a nutritious breakfast!

The students loved the recipe and were surprised to learn just how simple it is to make at home!

Northwestern Food For Your Well-Being | Party Smart In preparation for the upcoming holidays, the students at Northwestern joined us at our Party Smart table to test some plant-based dips with fresh vegetables and crunchy snacks.

They learned about taking a mindful approach when building a plate and were inspired to recreate these dips at home with their friends and family!

St Olaf Food For Your Well-Being | Power Your Day The students at St Olaf were delighted to join us for an overnight oat breakfast bar and learn about the importance of starting the day with a nutritious meal!

They enjoyed building their breakfast with a variety of toppings, such as chia seeds, cinnamon, dried cranberries, and honey!

Federated Food For Your Well-Being | Culinary Connections Forty-three guests joined us in the cafe for a fun, culinary adventure!

Using popcorn as the base, the guests created their own spice blend to sprinkle overtop the popcorn which made for a delicious and unique snack! They also had the opportunity to fill out a connections card which prompted them to share a favorite memory about food.

CHS Food For Your Well-Being | Party Smart In preparation for the upcoming holidays, the guests at CHS joined us at our Party Smart table to test some zv healthy dips with fresh fruits, vegetables, and other tasty snacks!

We joined together with CHS’s Fit360 wellness team to encourage our guests to incorporate more plants into their holiday platters this year.

The marinated mushrooms and carrot ginger hummus were the biggest hit!

Target North Food For Your Well-Being | Power Your Day The guests at Target North began their day by joining us for an overnight oats breakfast bar!

Our Bon Appetit team provided delicious steel cut overnight oats with a variety of toppings, including toasted coconut, almonds, craisins, and cinnamon.

The guests were reminded of the importance of starting their day with a nutritious breakfast to stabilize their energy and jump-start their metabolism!

One guest expressed she often will opt to purchase premade dips and precut vegetables, but when she tried the fresh roasted butternut squash dip she asked for the recipe and was determined to make it at home this year!

Medtronic Coach’s Corner This casual podcast-style presentation is hosted once a month by the Simple Steps Team.

The team invited Leslie to co host with Esther Kinsella with the Health Partners clinic to be part of the podcast and talk through supplementation. Leslie gave perspective on how to achieve nutrition through whole foods and looking at other lifestyle factors before using supplements.
