Sustainability is a key area of focus and investment for FXAIR. Your flights are covered by a comprehensive industryleading sustainability program. Working with the industry solutions leader 4AIR, we take a long-term strategy, looking beyond the short-term approach of carbon offsetting, to medium and long-term solutions for cleaner flying.
01 \ OFFSETTING TO 300% AS A STANDARD
As a minimum and as a default, we measure all flight emissions and offset them to 300%. This reflects the impact of both carbon and non-CO2 emissions, such as water vapor, contrails and nitrous oxide. This means every FXAIR flight is 4AIR rated at Level 2 (Silver), with investments made in verified offsets via a global portfolio of selected projects, from forestry, to cookstoves, to renewable energy.
02 \ A FOCUS ON SUSTAINABLE FUEL
Looking beyond offsetting with emissions reductions the ultimate goal, we also provide opportunities to invest in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Clients can opt to increase their commitment to 4AIR Level 3 (Gold) and facilitate a 5% direct emission reduction, by investing in SAF either as direct uplift or through a verified book and claim credit system.
03 \ INVESTING IN FUTURE FLIGHT TECHNOLOGIES
Our comprehensive program also gives the option to commit to 4AIR Level 4, helping to fund research and investment in cleaner flight technologies, via 4AIR’s Aviation Climate Fund (ACF). This supports world-leading projects including the Aviation Impact Accelerator (AIA) at The University of Cambridge—one of the world’s foremost research labs for clean aviation technologies.
