HOA NEWS COMING SOON: A NEW AND IMPROVED DOBSON RANCH WEBSITE

In the fall of 2023, the Board of Directors approved the production of a new Dobson Ranch website. A recommended company called Granicus was chosen for this project as their experience with other local websites, such as the City of Mesa, the Tempe Center for the Arts, the City of Tempe, and the City of Yuma, had positive remarks. The project officially kicked off in October of 2023, but unfortunately, it was immediately delayed due to a lapse of personnel in the Communications Department. Upon hiring a new Communications Administrator in January of 2024, the project was restarted under his supervision.

Between January and June, the Communications Administrator and a representative from Granicus met weekly to discuss, plan, and build how the new website would function and align with their shared goals and the staff of the Dobson Ranch HOA. As you can see in a section of the website below, the website retains the Dobson Ranch color palette while focusing on high-priority items that homeowners use most.

The Communications Administrator’s goal is for homeowners to find what they need within one or two clicks. These expectations are always the hopes for every website. The representative from Granicus and Chad Turner, the Communications Administrator, had compared multiple websites and a website the HOA staff suggested to emulate; while combining all of these features, styles, and functionality... a new Dobson Ranch website was designed. The homepage will feature Quick Links, a condensed navigation, and a section for the latest News and Events.

In June, the website entered the building stages at Granicus, and all current website pages are in the process of being transferred. We hope the transition is without issues and we are excited to release the new website to all Dobson Ranch homeowners. A soft release goal set by Granicus for August is likely possible. However, a reminder that each website page must be approved to match the goals set by the Communications Administrator, Board of Directors, and HOA staff before it is officially launched.

As many readers know, Dobson Ranch sends out two emails per week: a formal one on Tuesdays and a simple one on Fridays. These emails are filled with the most recent HOA News and Event Information and include various other announcements and notices that pertain to Dobson Ranch and the City of Mesa.
