EMY Africa Awards Soiree in Lagos: An Enchanting Evening Celebrating Excellence And Inspiring Greatness

On the evening of Sunday, August 13, 2023, distinguished individuals from various prominent industries in Nigeria were invited to the Nigerian version of the Emy Africa Award Soiree. The event took place at the Mercedes-Benz Centre in VI, Lagos. This soiree served as a precursor to the Emy Africa Awards, scheduled for October 14, 2023, in Ghana.

The Emy Africa Award was founded in Ghana by Mr. Kojo Soboh to recognize and honour African men who have demonstrated remarkable greatness and excellence in their achievements, contributions, and inspirational pursuits. This event, hosted in Lagos, marks the start of their mission to expand this celebration to other regions of Africa, one country at a time.

Latasha Ngwube and Mawuli Gavor were hosts for the night, and it was graced by both Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities like Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Michelle McKinney Hammond, Lanre Olusola, Mary Ojulari, Mawuli Gavor, Roberta Dawson-Amoah, Chidi Mokeme, Waje, Doja Allen, Cobhams Asuquo, Uzor Arukwe, Toolz, Uti Nwachwkwu, Bovi, Saga Deolu, Kelechi Amadi Obi, Akintunde Johnson Bada, Ama K Abeberese, Comfort Booth to mention a few.

Dapo Pelmar delighted the guests with his beautiful voice, as Babs Cardini mesmerized them with a captivating magic performance. The night unfolded seamlessly, filled with music and delightful interactions. Meanwhile, Chef Tucker and his team left the crowd wanting more of their scrumptious meals, ensuring everyone was well-fed throughout the event. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in a raffle session for a chance to win portrait shots taken by talented photographer Ngozi Eme. Additionally, Caveman presented their exquisite watches to esteemed guests such as RMD and Lanre Olusola.

We eagerly anticipate the Award night in Ghana on October 14th and are excited to see what it has in store.
