PHOTOSHOP 101 • MIDTERM GROUP STUDY

Last October 3, 2019, La Salle Computer Society (LSCS) held its Photoshop 101 at Room 303 of St. Miguel Hall. The 2-hour workshop, which started at 4:30 PM, was attended by 15 students.

why many people are eager to learn it. Although, it is challenging to learn due to its abundant tools and features. LSCS chose to hold this event in order to help those who are interested in expressing their creativity,” says project head Dustin Maceda (I, BSCS-CSE).

Overall, the event was successful as each student was able to learn the basics of Photoshop through the simple activity.

On the 21st until the 24th of October 2019, La Salle Computer Society (LSCS) organized a group study in preparation for the upcoming midterm examinations.

The event was attended by the freshmen and sophomores of the College of Computer Studies (CCS). LSCS offered Basic Statistics (BASSTAT), Introduction to Computing (CCICOMP), Logic Formulation and Introductory Programming (CCPROG1), Calculus 2 (CCSCAL2), Information Management (CCINFOM), and Introduction to Computer Networks (CSNETWK) reviewers, along with scheduled study sessions led by tutors from the Peer Tutors Society (PTS). As accounted by project head Ryan Yao, a total of 206 students attended the study sessions, averaging to around 50 students each day. He also noted that the program was wellreceived and that the students were able to understand the materials used. Additionally, four rooms in the DLSU Gokongwei Building were reserved from 6PM until 10PM to cater to all CCS students in need of a venue to study and work on anything academic-related.
