After weeks of hard work leaving us tired and sometimes in need of a break, La Salle Computer Society (LSCS) organized a way for members to relieve stress and even get to know other people in LSCS at “Hangout with LSCS”. This was held at the Gokongwei Building rooms 203 and 213 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM last November 16, 2019.
Headed by AVPs for Human Resource Department, Ricson Vergara and Carlo Santos, the event
started with music and all sorts of games, from typical board games to those on the Nintendo Switch and laptops. Regardless of whether it was on chairs, tables, or on the floor, members found a way to spend time with their fellow members.
As the event ended, attendees were given meals. Moreover, a chance to share their wonderful memories, to take a needed break, and to enjoy a relaxing recreation. Need a little boost of knowledge for the incoming exams? How about just a refresher to make sure you’re well-equipped? No need to worry, La Salle Computer Society (LSCS) has online video tutorials on the LSCS YouTube channel from GUI components to pointers and arrays. It is composed of videos mostly geared towards
freshmen courses and topics. These provide a way for you to review topics that you’ve already learned, hone your skills to improve your coding, or even study in advance for future terms. If you are a student, who is having a hard time keeping up with your professor’s lectures or simply learn better at the comfort of your own time, you may look into the online tutorials for reference, examples, and even explanations from your fellow Lasallians.
To watch these videos, you can look La Salle Computer Society up on YouTube or search for the specific online video tutorials, such as Java Swing.
