CNHUKLtdwarrantsthatyournew1996andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roaddieselenginewasdesigned,built,andequippedtoconformto applicableU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgencyregulationsforaperiodofuseoffiveyearsor3,000hoursofoperation,whicheveroccurs first.

Thenewmodelyear,classofdieselengine,andemissionapplicationdeterminationforyourengineareidentifiedontheemissioncontrol informationlabelaffixedtotheengine.Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethenewequipmentissoldtothefirstretailpurchaser.

Anyemissioncontrolsystempartswhichareprovendefectiveduringnormalusewillberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.The warrantyrepairsandservicewillbeperformedbyanyauthorizedCNHdealeratthedealerísplaceofbusiness,withnochargeforpartsor labor(includingdiagnosis).

TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoardandCNHUKLTDarepleasedtoexplaintheemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyonyour engine.In California,new2004andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesfrom50to750HPmustbedesigned,builtandequippedtomeettheStateís stringentanti-smogstandards.CNHUKLTDmustwarranttheemissioncontrol systemonyour enginefortheperiodsoftimelistedbelow, providedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglectorimpropermaintenanceofyourengine.

Youremissioncontrolsystemincludespartssuchasthefuelinjection systemandtheairinduction system.

Whereawarrantableconditionexists,CNHUKLTDwillrepairyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengineatnocosttoyouincludingdiagnosis,parts andlabor.

ManufacturerísWarrantyCoverage:

The2004andlaterheavy-dutyoff-roadenginesarewarrantedfromtheoriginaldateofdeliveryforfiveyearsor3000hoursofoperation, whicheveroccursfirst.Ifanyemission-relatedpartonyourengineisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyCNHUKLTD.

OwnerísWarrantyResponsibilities:

• Astheheavy-dutyoff-roadengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourownerís manual.CNHUKLTDrecommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourheavy-dutyoff-roadengine,butCNHUK LTDcannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailuretoensuretheperformanceofallscheduledmaintenance.

• Astheheavy-dutyoff-roadengineowner,youshould,however,beawarethatCNHUKLTDmaydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyour heavy-dutyoff-roadengineoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodifications.

CNHUKLTDisnotresponsibleforfailuresresultingfromabuseorneglectbyowneroroperator.

CNHUKLTDwarrantstotheultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthattheengineisdesigned,built,andequippedsoasto conformwithallapplicableregulationsadoptedbytheAirResourcesBoard,andthatitisfreefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanship whichcausethefailureofawarrantedpart.

STARTINGTHETRACTOR

1.Beforestartingtheengine,checkthatthe handbrakeisonandthatthegearsandpower take-offaredisengaged,evenifthetractoris fittedwithastart-upsafetydevice.Never disconnectthestart-upsafetyswitch.Ifthe switchdoesnotworkcorrectly,contactyourlocal dealerforeventualrepairoperations.

2.Beforestartingtheengine,makesurethatall attachedimplementsareloweredtotheground.

3.Beforestartingtheengine,checkthatallcovers andguardsarecorrectlyinposition(hoodside panels,powertake-offguard,frontaxle transmissionshaftcover,etc.).

4.Neverstartormaneuverthetractorunless seatedinthedrivingposition.

5.Beforemovingthetractor,alwayscheckthatthe areaisfreeofpersonsorobstacles.

6.Neverruntheengineinaclosedspacewithout ensuringadequateventilation.Exhaustfumes aredamagingtothehealthandcanbelethal.

USINGTHETRACTOR

1.Selectthemostsuitablewheelsettingforthe workinhand,i.e.:thesettingthatprovidesthe beststability.

2.Engagetheclutchslowly:ifengagedtooquickly, especiallywhenthetractorisgettingoutofa hole,ditchoroperatingonmuddygroundor steepslopes,thetractormayoverturn. Releasetheclutchimmediatelyifthefrontwheels starttolift.

3.Whentravelingdownhill,keepthetractoringear. Neverreleasetheclutchandneverleavethe gearsinneutral.

USINGIMPLEMENTSANDAGRICULTURAL MACHINERY

1.Donotconnectimplementsormachinerythat requiremorepowerthancanbegeneratedby yourtractormodel.

2.Nevernegotiatesharpturnswiththepower take-offunderaheavyload;thismaydamagethe universaljointsonthetransmissionshaft connectedtothepowertake-off.

3.Neverstandbetweenthereversingtractorand theimplementwhenhitching.

4.Whenusingimplementsthatrequirethetractor tobestationarywiththeenginerunning,keepthe gearandrangeleversintheneutralposition, applythehandbrakeandusesuitablewheel chocks.

5.Donotoperatemachinesconnectedtothepower take-offwithoutfirstensuringthattheoperating rangeofthemachineisfreeofbystanders. Alsocheckthatallrotatingpartsconnectedtothe powertake-offshaftarecorrectlyprotected.

STOPPINGTHETRACTOR

1.Whenthetractorisstationary,neverleave connectedimplementsintheraisedposition.All implementsmustbeloweredbeforestoppingthe engine.

2.Beforeleavingthedrivingposition,movethegear levertotheneutralposition,disengagethepower take-off,applythehandbrake,stoptheengine andputthetractoringear.

Alwaysremovetheignitionkeyfromthe dashboardwhenleavingthetractorunattended.

3.Parkonflatsurfaces,wherepossible,putthe tractorintogearandapplythehandbrake.On slopes,inadditiontoapplyingthehandbrake,put thetractorinfirstgearwhenfacingdownhill.As anadditionalsafetymeasure,usewheelchocks (availableasanoptional);thisprocedureis compulsorywhenparkingwithatrailerhitched.
