With increasing use of mechanization in the vineyard, New Holland designed and manufactured the TN-V narrow tractor ideally for Vineyard applications. The TN-V is the newest addition to the TN family of tractors with many common features and benefits.
The New Holland TN-V tractors offer the customer the most advanced vineyard tractor design and specification available in the market place today. This new tractor design concept, offers small overall dimensions with large tractor features. High torque engines, high flow hydraulic systems, Automatic 4WD system and a 16 x 16 mechanical shuttle transmission provides the ultimate in performance and efficiency. Serviceability, control ergonomics, operator space and driver comfort were a main consideration in the development of this tractor.
New Hollandís ergonomically designed operator cab provides the ultimate in comfort and control resulting in increased productivity.
Torque levels in this quiet-running engine have increased (giving a 36% torque rise) to ensure sufficient power to handle a multitude of application needs.

The TN-V cab features curved large glass sides which increases all around visibility. The forward field of vision for the operator is enhanced with the compact, front instrument console, a narrow, sloping engine hood and clean uncluttered engine sides. This allows the operator to easily view front mounted implements, overhanging trees or drive-in rows. The operator has an excellent, unobstructed view to the rear hitch and linkage.

TNV tractors feature a spacious six post design, roll over protection safety cab. No additional roll over safety bar is required. Reduced in-cab noise levels and an optional air suspension seat aid operator comfort.
No restriction in overall width for maximum application flexibility
The ergonomic layout of the cab is designed to improve comfort and reduce stress. The main controls are laid out conveniently on the operators right hand side. Noise levels are as low as 78dBA with the engine at rated speed.
Reduced operator fatigue facilitates greater productivity
Slim line cab pillars, 43 ft2 of tinted glass, and frameless glass doors combine to provide the operator with maximum all round visibility. This also ensures the operator can work closer to the row without excessive damage to the crop or the tractor.

The fully suspended six post cab is fitted with two front and two rear tuned rubber ìsilent blocksî to suspend and isolate the entire cab from engine and driveline vibration and noise.

Two wide opening, frameless glass doors permits the operator to enter and exit the cab on either side. The side mounted gear levers, the low & narrow transmission tunnel and suspended pedals keep the floor area clear and allow the operator plenty of leg room and ensure ease of cleaning.

The smooth flow, streamlined tractor design with recessed worklights allow the TN tractor to drive through overhanging vegetation and branches. Door handles(1) are designed to allow branches to brush by without damage. Minimal damage to growing crop, developing fruit and the tractor itself. Engine side shield(2) have been added to exposure to crops.
The cab climate is controlled by a module fitted in the cab roof. This contains a three speed fan, a heater and the optional air conditioning unit. The air conditioning system is fitted inside a unit on the roof of the tractor. In-cab headroom is retained as the air conditioning unit doesnít intrude into the cab. The air conditioning system uses ozone friendly R134A refrigerant.
The twin air filters are located on both sides of the cab roof, away from the dust areas created by the rear wheels. Thumbscrews hold in place both filters and can be easily removed for cleaning from the outside of the cab without the need for tools.
Four adjustable air outlets are located at the front of the cab roof lining. Air from the three speed fan can be directed on the front or side windows, or towards the operator for optimum temperature control within the cab area. Pressurizing the cab interior prevents dirt and dust ingress.

In-cab recirculation vents(1) above the side windows, allow air from inside the cab to be recirculated by the fan unit. Opening the vents allows recirculation of the cab air for rapid warming, or increased air conditioning capacity. The cab is also radio ready with preinstalled speakers and antenna.
The front and rear windows on all cab models can be fully opened, the windows are then supported by two gas struts. The window latches have two positions, allowing the operator to have the rear window partially open. The driver benefits from increased ventilation when operating conditions allow.
The lower, rear window can be removed and reversed without the use of tools. When the window is turned through 180 and reinstalled, there is a convenient cable access point for implement control boxes and cables.
A standard height adjustable telescopic steering column is fitted. The central knob of the steering locks it in the desired position, ensuring that a comfortable driving position can be attained for all operators. Indicators, windshield wipers, lights and horn controls are all located behind the steering wheel for greater operator comfort.

The standard specification seat offers adjustments to the following areas; mechanical spring suspension adjustment, weight/height adjustment, and fore/after adjustment. This combined with a shaped seat back, aids operator comfort.
This level of adjustment reduces fatigue of the driver
The ìDeluxeî, air suspension seat is optional. This allows the seat height and suspension to be adjusted at a push of a button. This provides additional benefit to the operator when working for extended periods.

The right hand ëBí pillar houses a small fuse box and the controls for the windshield wipers, work lights, cigar lighter and a beacon socket. Above the door is a switched interior/courtesy light.
The TNV utilizes high output roof mounted worklamps. Two front and two rear positioned lamps provide excellent illumination. The lamps are recessed into the roof for maximum protection. Each lamp to be precisely positioned to suit each individual task.
Superior illumination to improve working throughout the night
Cab units have 2 rear work lights mounted in recessed pockets in the roof. A trailer electrical plug connector(1) and external power connector (12V) are also standard. Rear brake lights are standard equipment.

The three position worklamp switch is located on the right hand B pillar, it controls the 4 work lamps on the tractor. The operator can select the lighting configuration that suits the application or the implement being used. The switch features three positions:
1 - Off
2 - Rear lights On, front lights Off
3 - Rear lights On, front lights On
A roof mounted, pre-wired flashing beacon socket is also controlled from a switch fitted to the right hand B pillar. All the operator has to do is simply plug in the beacon and turn on the beacon switch.
Safe road transportation, complying with local legislation
The tractor comes standard with an in cab rear viewmirror. As a dealer installed option, external rearview mirrors can be bolted directly to the ëAí pillar of the cab. The mirrors are easily removed when necessary to reduce the overall width of the tractor. Removal of the mirrors also reduces damage to the crop.
