Færeyjar 2024 In this document, you will find all the information you should need for your upcoming trip to Færeyjar from Akureyri with Tur.fo. The information in this document is relevant for both trips, 22 February - 25 February, and 29 February – 03 March.

Packing list – what is good to bring to Færeyjar -

Remember your passport – and make sure it isn’t expired.

Warm clothes – the weather in Færeyjar is cold in February, similar to the Icelandic (with less snow).

Swimming clothes if that is something you wish to do – or if the hotel you stay at has a hot tub.

Flight time is around 1 hour 15 minutes, and we land at 19:25 Icelandic time, which is the same as Faroese time. On the trip, we offer free coffee, tea, juice and water.

If you need to cancel your trip If you need to cancel your trip, then you can get someone else to join instead of you (it costs 200DKK to change the names).

Travel Insurance We would like to remind you that travel insurance is not included from Tur.fo. If you want travel insurance please make sure to do so yourselves.

Bus transfer from and to the Airport in Vágar We have arranged bus transport for everyone who has bought a hotel package. When you arrive on 22/02 and 29/02, the buses will wait outside for everyone to arrive.

Going to the airport from the hotels 25/02 and 03/03, you need to be ready 2 hours and 45 minutes before departure. This means the bus will be at the hotel around 15:25 on Sunday for both trips.

Subsea tunnels cost to enter by car. This is only the subsea tunnels, not the “normal” ones. You can ask your car rental company about this when picking up your car.

Before going on a hike, please make sure to check weather reports, and always let someone know where you are going. Hiking in bright clothes is also recommended.
