JAMEEL SQUARE
It would be difficult not to notice one of the latest additions to Jeddah’s growing skyline; the strikingly elegant Jameel Square on Tahlia St. has been turning heads since construction began in 2006. Called one of the most modern office buildings in Jeddah, Jameel Square is a project of Hadia Abdul Latif Jameel Co. Ltd. Leasing began in 2009 and the new tenants of Jameel Square more than live up to the elegant building. Among the tenants are Mont Blanc, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Audemars Piguet.
The Jameel Square website describes the building as “designed to incorporate the traditional elegance with the comforts, efficiency, and IT connectivity that modern technology provides”. Jameel Square offers leasing for retail and office spaces and covers a total of 8,000 sqm.
First Boots In Ksa Opens
Jeddah was the first to get a taste of the UK Boots franchise which opened up on March 29 in Mall of Arabia. In an official statement from Boots, Managing Director of Boots International, Gordon Farquhar said the expansion was part of the overall strategy to make Boots a truly international brand. The UK brand has branches in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.
