Guide to Personal Protection Order in Singapore What is a PPO, or Personal Protection Order in Singapore? Part VII of the Women's Charter allows for the issuance of a Personal Protection Order in Singapore (PPO). The Expedited Order (EO) and the Domestic Exclusion Order (DEO) enhance it (DEO). The PPO, EO, and DEO are all designed to be used as court orders to stop family violence. Two elements must be proven in order to successfully apply for a PPO: A family member has been subjected to or is likely to be subjected to family violence, and a PPO is required to safeguard that family member.
What constitutes domestic violence? "Family violence" is defined as any of the following acts, as described in section 64 of the Women's Charter:
Intentionally or knowingly putting, or attempting to put, a family member in danger;
