Let’s work together Orcas! MONEY RAISED FOR PTP SERVICE HOURS In order to reach out service hours goal, we need to keep pushing and doing all that we can to serve our communities! To help us reach this goal, I’d suggest setting a personal goal, of perhaps 50 hours or more by January 1st! You got this, and I know we can reach 4500 hrs!

The Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) is one of our preferred charities. PTP’s goal is to prevent all unnecessary injuries and deaths that could’ve been prevented by better safety measures in our communities. As Key Clubbers, let’s do our part to fundraise $4000 for PTP <3

Let’s work hard to push for member recruitment this term! We need to increase our members by atleast 25% this term, but I know we can easily surpass this with all of your hard work! Invite your friends and show your school how amazing Key Club is!

I’m Lena Gazibaric and I proudly serve as Guajome’s president! I chose to run for president because I wanted to help our club rebuild the connectivity that was lost during the pandemic and I also wanted to help build spirit back up on campus. My goals for this term are to form bonds with all of my members and officers as well as increase membership and engagement. FAVORITE KEY CLUB MOMENT My favorite key club moment was my first DCM. I didn’t know what to expect going into it but I definitely had an amazing time and created so many friendships from it!

I like country music.

FAVORITE KEY CLUB EVENT Rose Parade Floats

I’m going to skydive on my 18th birthday.

I want to live in New York City.

This past month editor Amanda Shih helped out at the San Diego Food Bank with her family. She assisted in bagging assorted fruits and vegetables for 3 hours. After bagging, the bags will leave the warehouse and go to a market where organizations like soup kitchens will select fruit to give to others. All together Amanda helped bag at least 1000 pounds of fruit doing her best to impact her community.

On July 27th, Key Clubbers Steven Phan and Giovanni Rodriguez helped at the North County Food Bank. Steven and Gio helped arrange food packages into containers and also helped clean up the warehouse. The photo above depicts Steven Phan and Giovanni Rodriguez creating bags that the food will be placed in through an assembly line, which will then be shipped to various food charities. RBV Key Club member and regular volunteer at the North County Food Bank,Steven Phan, stated that he "really enjoys being able to see [his] impact on helping out others in [his] community!”

RESOURCES: AGENDA SLIDES At this months DCM, we were joined by Division 37 East to participate together in fun group activities and service. First, Key Clubbers from both divisions worked together in an activity creating boats out of straws to see who could make it float. With a little teamwork, all boats were able to float in water, until they were challenged by the weight of rocks. Afterwards, we held our DCM, where it was announced we have $407.98 raised for PTP! Shoutout to EL Camino for being the biggest contribution to our goals for PTP. All of our clubs are doing so amazing, with increased attendance in meetings and raising money for PTP, we hope to continue to see everyone improve and be amazing!
