SEPTEMBER VISIT !

Receiving visitors and friends is always pure joy for our staff, children and community members in the areas where DCM operates.

It’s time to celebrate with joy knowing that someone out there thinks about us. To the sponsored children, it’s a time when there are more smiles on their faces seeing their beloved parents reach out with gifts, hugs and stories after a long period of time away DCM Alumni Dr. Nviri David meets his Long time Sponsors from each other.

We thank God who has enabled DCM to host the many friends that came through this year in the month of September.

We also thank our partners and sponsors who sacrifice so much to visit and encourage us leaving behind their families, businesses and as well spending much money for the trip to Uganda. May the good Lord forever bless you.

DAY 1,DAY 2 DIVINE CHURCH WEDNESDAY PRAYERS

Divine church has continually increased and grown and many people from the community and staff members have been able to nourish their spiritual growth through Bible study, devotions and fellowships.

The special day (Wednesday) that was dedicated to God is helping so many staff and community members to learn to have quiet time with God, study the bible on their own and have more time for intercession.

It was great Joy to have our friends join in for Wednesday Prayers . Margret led the team that consisted of Maggie, David , Fran and Abby .

DAY 3 & DAY4 THE ‘ LONGS ‘ AT THE NATIONAL PARK.

Buffalos in Murchison falls National Park

Uganda is endowed with riches of Nature that signify the power of God for all the creation. During the Visit the White Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino and wildlife Ranch “LONGS” visited Murchison falls National park and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the wild animals, the Birds, the falls and the wonderful boat cruising at the Nile River . Glory and Honor belongs to our God the Creator .

DIVINE COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIPS Divine Care Ministries praises the Lord who is enabling her to answer God’s call to reach out to deep communities with God’s word and love. This is in line with Divine Care Ministries mission which is to make disciples of communities by facilitating improvement and wellbeing of people including the hurting, orphaned, suffering and other vulnerable children through education, provision of shelter, medication and Evangelism ministry.

Divine Church has mentored and trained community members that have in turn created home cells/ community fellowships that have contributed in spreading good news to the people in their community as Jesus commanded in Mark, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Mark 16:15.

Our friends, Margret, Maggie and Taylor witnessed, fellowshipped and shared with God’s people that subscribe to these fellowships.

DAY5 & DAY6

DIVINE CHURCH YOUTH CONFRENCE

Maggie sharing with the Youth Divine Youth also had an opportunity to listen and share experiences with the visiting team . During the Conference, Youth had time to divide into groups according to gender and during these workshops a lot of questions were asked and answered by our friends. It was a great time hearing from Maggie, Taylor and Margret.

The Long family returned from the trip to the National park and joined Margret and Maggie at Divine Farm where they were able to tour the farm projects like the banana plantation, Rabbits, the poultry , the piggery , the gardens and also the Coffee that was being sun

DAY 7& DAY 8 JOGGO COMMUNITY CHURCH

During the visit the congregation at Joggo Community Church was blessed to host a team of friends that shared God’s word with the church members. This team was welcomed by Pastor Peter Sozi.

HOME VISITS

It remains joy unexplainable when the Sponsored Children are visited by their beloved Sponsors, Haddijah a grade seven candidate at Divine Hope with great joy hosted Abby Long at her home and this was a good time to share her experience from the time she received sponsorship and it was also a good time for Abby to interact and know more about her beloved child.

This has created a special bond between her and the child.

Nakayenze Patricia sponsored by the Campbells was also visited and it was a special time for her to share love extended from her sponsor through Margret Showalter and the other members on the team that visited her home The team was gifted with a mat during the Home visit by Nabbosa Parvin’s Grand mother

DAY 9,DAY 10,11 & 12 WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROJECTS

The ministry initiated projects to help widows, teenage mothers and single mothers to engage in productive activities like Saving, Goat rearing, Weaving, liquid soap making, knitting and Tailoring.

SCHOOL VISIT

During the School visits our sponsored children were able to receive gifts from their sponsors . It was a great moment for the twins at Code High School when the Fourman’s visited and realized they were sponsoring one boy who happens to be a twin and they decided to sponsor the second one too making a complete twin set. DAY 13 & 14

DIVINE GRACE NURSEY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL Divine Care Ministries praises the Lord For the team of friends that moved to Divine Grace and shared their experiences to both children and staff members about different topics that were selected that include Finances, kindness, Generosity, Hard work and Keys to success . It was during the same visit that some homes with sponsored children were visited .

On the 23rd of September , the married staff members had a great moment sharing and hearing the marriage experiences from our Married friends that had visited. It was great joy to learn, counsel and Pray together as the big family of Divine Care Ministries at Divine Church. What a blessed weekend it was!
