A WORD FROM FAITH, OUR EDITOR IN CHIEF

In Diversify's third edition, we are delving into 'Color Pop' as the primary theme. Color Pop embodies photography wherein the image is monotonous, dull, and/or monochrome as a whole but sections of the content are colorful. We, however, want to encapsulate an indifferent color palette and spectrum for Diversify in this volume. Therefore, the current edition's color palette will highlight images that exhibit the chosen theme and a splash of uncharacteristic colorfulness for Diversify's aesthetic throughout its third edition.

Besides this, I am excited to announce that Diversify's headquarters is currently in its renovation stage. We are also searching to acquire a larger team, and occupational opportunities will become apparent to the world of Los Santos in the upcoming months of 2023. Specifically, we are searching for columnists and photographers to a with Diversify's quarterly magazine releases. Our t cannot wait to showcase how we will broaden our horizons following the New Year.

People in business in los santos

Los Santos, San Andreas, the United States of America… this city, in particular, is inhabited by people of a lot of cultures, traditions, languages, and backgrounds… but is not exempt from people that move to Los Santos for opportunities, expanding their wings and let the Vinewood fame get the best ofthem.

The current metro population in Los Santos is 12,488,000. Out of that population, over there are more than 244,000 businesses open at this time, out of which 200,000 are women-owned businesses, and over 734,842 are owned by men. These businesses range from private medical practices, cafés, jewelry stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, and so on… down to adult entertainment businessesandevenmodelingagencies.

In 2022 though, the demand for “street food” has spiked over the months, and people have started seeing more and more street vendors, food trucks, and even organic home-grown fruits and vegetables. Although farmer’s markets are most common in the county of Los Santos, in Sandy Shores, Grapeseed, and Paleto Bay, due to the trend of eating healthy organic food and implementing more vegetables and fruits into our diet, especially in Los Santos, more and more fruit and vegetable vendors could be a possible future. Street vendors contribute to a thriving local economy and are a crucial part of the pandemic recoveryefforts.

In Los Santos alone, an estimated 12,500 street food vendors generate millions of dollars in revenue every year. This is not only good for the economy of the state and the city of Los Santos, but it also introduces customers to all kinds of different flavors of food and cultures fromallovertheworld.

Business in Los Santos might seem easy and fun, maybe even friendly… but just like a lot of other people working in corporate say “In order to be an entrepreneur, you have to lose a part of yourself to become greedy and evil.”. While in most cases that indeed is true, it also depends on the kind of business you are in. A lot of businesses owned by women get hated, get threatened with all kinds of dangerous messages, and a lot of women, unfortunately, don’t stand by the saying “Women Supporting Women”, which then leads to two businesses fighting, even if one of the parties don’t want to engage in those fights or competition. Business is “evil” for sure, but a study around the state has shown that entrepreneurs would rather be working together with appropriate businesses rather than working against each other. Private businesses (regardless of the field they are doing business in), should be cooperating instead of competing. This would not only bring the possibility of better business in Los Santos and the state of San Andreas but also better overallcustomersatisfaction.

The employment rates in Los Santos, San Andreas seem to be growing by the day as new businesses open for customers. This lowers the unemployment rate in the state overall and offers people of all backgrounds to find a vacancy within any part of the city. Whether it be self-employment as a food vendor, joining the local Police Department or Sheriff’s Department, or even the city and the Public Works. The United States hopes to see the unemployment rates go down as employment rates go up. Everyone deserves a stable income, a career or profession, and a stable and safe environment.

REVISITING CARRIE BRADSHAW

25 years ago today — on June 7th, 1998 — the world met Carrie Bradshaw, a fictional Libertarian living in a fictional rent-controlled Algonquin apartment, writing a fictional newspaper column. Throughout the series, viewers have doled out advice through that column, which Carrie would type on her computer while staring out her window onto the most perfectly adorable Liberty City street, cigarette in hand.

Although the television series was made for entertainment just like any other series, the way it was written makes you question Carrie’s thoughts when she writes her columns. Let’s look at a few of Carrie’s own questions and how she answered them briefly, and why not compare them to Los Santos 2023 instead of Liberty City 1998?

In A City of Great Expectations, Is It Time To Settle For What You Can Get?

The question of settling comes up in everybody’s life sooner or later, but in the case of Sex And The City, Carrie ponders about this in the context of a relationship, hypothesizing whether it’s better to settle for someone one doesn’t really love or end up alone.

While Liberty City is way different in the means of people, cultures, and also thinking… Los Santos isn’t that different nowadays. If you notice, people in Los Santos give up their careers for their partners

But do people have to give up a part of their lives just so that they can have a life together with their significant other? Or would that put a strain on the relationship down the road, since when you date someone, they should accept and love all of you, and not expect you to give up a part of yourself to be with them?

Is Timing Everything?

Carrie cannot help but wonder whether the timing is everything. When she looks up at the main relationships that play out on the show, timing does seem pretty important. If Carrie had met Aiden before she fell in love with Mr. Big, it’s possible she would have ended up with him instead.

Liberty City is a city that never sleeps, but Los Santos is a city of fame and glamour, wealth and opportunities. What Carrie writes about in this column, is about her, Aiden, and Mr. Big, the two crushes she had throughout the series (apart from the fling nobody liked, Aleksandr Petrovsky). Should you go with your heart with the person you feel like you would be happy with and it would feel right to be with them, or should you wait where you are right now, and maybe lose the person of your interest?

These are the few questions people ask, out of the hundreds Carrie Bradshaw asked herself throughout the series. Although most of her questions and her own perspective come off silly and make no sense, another part of what her friends say gives further insight into them. Samantha brings her sex life into each answer, Miranda comes in with her realness and law knowledge, making an argument… and Charlotte tells her side from a more conservative point of view, being the hopeless romantic she is and an overall positive person always looking forward to hope. Although Sex And The City is about four best friends coming together for lunch frequently, sharing bits and pieces of their lives, and supporting each other… Is there a pair like the four of them in real life?

Did you know there's a tunnel under Vinewood Blvd?

An Interview With DR. M. Cattaneo

During medical school, Marzia circulated clinical rotations with Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine,FamilyMedicine,Pediatrics, and so forth; developing an initial fondness for primary care, and surgical care. Marzia comments: "Obstetrics and Gynecology are both since OB/GYNs are surgically trained physicians. So you get a nice balance betweenthetwo."

First and foremost, Marzia's primary concern is the health and safety of her patients, with Catteneo stating: "As a physician, my role is to help everyone [...] Establish the right diagnoses and treatment plan depending on each patient and their medical background. As an OB/GYN and Perinatologist, the doctor's philosophy abides by ethical conduct, and the patient's safety, with Marzia affirmingtheseregulations.

"Intermsofhomeopathicmeansfirst, that is the standard treatment to everything at first [...] Labor and delivery depends on the patient and their birth plan [...] Postpartum care alsodependsonhowthepatienttore, and their experience through child labor,"saysDR.MarziaCattaneo, who attests for the upmost practical and attentive care options at her clinic, CattaneoObstetrics&Gynecology.

Marzia, however, had different intentions initially than settling her own clinic in Los Santos city, stating: "Doctor Carlucci offeredmeanofficetoworkoutofatfirst [...] After a few months, I decided to settle down myself in Rockford with my own clinic. Otherwise, I would have stayed in Massachusetts at the Brigham and Women'sHospital."

Lastly, Los Santos has had its ups and downs for the physician: "I love it here so far despite realizing that most of the citizens chase after fame and money [...] Onlyafewaretrulytryingtomakeagood living by working hard and living a normal life [...] My advice for women unable to conceive or struggling to do so is to request a fully rounded check-up and the mainthingbeing;donotlosehope.

"And in the harrowing streets, there are many locals who know my story. I have seen what monsters could do, I wear their efforts on my skin. I have met with the officers who have lost, killed, and dragged themselves among the concrete to correct these horrors. We will bring peace to the citizens of Liberty State. We will bring safety to our people."

An Interview With Sasha black

Although formally known as Sasha Black, the woman's alias 'Ms. Liberty' has its credibility; relating to the Algonquin city councilwoman's recognition and status throughout Liberty City's district. Said district's political development is based on various factors, such as; first and foremost, a realistic assessment of the current political landscape residingwithinLC'sgovernment.

"Politicalpollsandfocusgroupsshow that the people are hungry for change. Far too many politicians are stagnant and even those that rise up are doing our city a great disservice with their work ethic. I was never the likeliest candidate for this office. We didn’t start with much money for many endorsements," comments Black. In other words, as an unlikely candidate, Sasha is tearing down racial barriers and pioneers the Democratic Party's availability to obtainaccesstoautonomyregardless ofthecurrentpoliticallandscape.

"My vision is to spearhead and pave the way and show the people what true leadership looks like. From engaging with the community daily to working arduous hours ensuring meetingsaremadetobetterservethe residents of Liberty City," says Sasha inregardtoherunfinishedbusiness.

That unfinished business beacons the councilwoman's excessive workload to be strenuous yet rewarding: "The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep,.. We may not get there in one year, or even one term, but Liberty City, I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you—weasapeoplewillgetthere."

"There will be setbacks and false starts,. There will be people who don’t agree with every decision or policy I make as a City Councilwoman [...] But I will always be honestaboutthechallengesweface.Iwill listentoyou, especiallywhenwedisagree. And above all, I will ask you to join in the work of remaking this City of Dreams the only way it's been done for two hundred andforty-fiveyears."

Dissimilar to Los Santos, Liberty's political government sways from political beliefs remnant to orthodox values. However, the city's political development remains in a rudimentary state, undergoing consistent progression based on an electoral system as opposed to LS' appointed government positions. Sasha, in particular, discussed her conceptualization of Liberty City's political progression in the upcoming yearsasacitycouncilwoman.

"If I know anything about the people of LibertyCity, itisthattheyareresilient. There are many who brave the bitter cold in order to serve a perfect stranger.Andtherearemanyamongus who are growing like the rose from concrete, as our commercial districts begin bursting to life and forge the beauty that is our concrete jungle and cityofdreams."

Without a doubt, Sasha's political interest differs from self-interest; with her primary focus relating to the city development, and political development of Liberty City in its variousboroughs.

"If there is anyone out there who still doubts that Liberty State is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive; who still questions the power of democracy, the day I was elected was their answer. It’s the answer that led those who have been for so long by so many to be cynical, fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and benditoncemoretowardthehopeofa betterday."

Unemployment, healthcare, education, law, and order; are issues that concern Sasha as a city councilwoman, specifically: "The people who voted for me didn’t do so to win an election and I know they didn’t do it for me. They did it because they understand the enormity of the task that lies ahead. Even as we celebrate victory today, we know the challenges that tomorrow brings will be the greatest of our lifetime."

The greatest challenges, however, are considered "unprecedented gun violence and police shootings, a planet in peril, and our state’s worst financial crisis in a century," in the city councilwoman's factual opinion. This beacons the question: How will Sasha Black challengetheseobstacles?

"I made a very gracious call to Police Commissioner Gregory Atkinson," Sasha asserts, progressing the discussion into her preventative steps to tackle crime across Liberty City's boroughs: "I congratulate him and our Chief of Detectives, Savannah Collins for all they have achieved, and I look forward to working with them to actively dismantle the criminal organizations that plague the city and terrorize our venues as well as to strike at the heart of the organizations mass producing and trafficking illicit firearms and drugs into our community and renew this city’s promiseinthemonthsahead."

Unceasing in her relentlessness to combat criminal organizations' lingering offenses, Black states: "I have introduced a temporary security camera program that the PD has requested to allow for CCTV to be staged in hot zones where high levels of crime have been documented. Furthermore, to protect our economic heart, I have proposed for permanence with the CCTV setup throughout Star Junction and have petitioned DPS and local security companies such as Apex and G6 with the installation of highqualitysecuritysystems."

Continuing her statement, Sasha comments: "I have made amendments to the fourth quarter appropriations bill to budget for a number of these issues to protect the interests of the people. Now, there is new energy to harness and new jobs to be created; new schools to be built and threats to meet and alliances to repair." Without constraint, Black's political notions attach to the speech sentiment 'by the people, for the people,' with her political strategies implementing pathways to benefit the community, especially aiming to avail those from lowereconomicstatusupbringings.

An individual's origins related to criminal activity are miscomprehended by the masses as noted through Black's political lens: "In regards to crime, I understand that if you don’t want adults and children boosting cars, and hustling credit cards, and selling crack, we must understand that it’s because nobody will give them a job paying a livable wage. People aren’t born criminals. Criminals are made by society. The mother of all crime is miseducation and the father of all crimeiseconomiccastration."

Moreover, Sasha affirms: "I understand there are mothers and fathers who lie awake after the children fall asleep and wonder how they’ll make the mortgage or afford rent [...] or save enough for college. I have introduced the Business IncentiveProgramtohelpourpioneers and local business owners create jobs andofferhigherwages."

Societal influences bolster these offender behaviors, therefore, one must adjust the overall sphere of a community; not a singular person; a task that Sasha must face in forthcoming years in her newfound government position. "Because we have to recognize as people, that when people do not know how they are going to eat from day to day, that creates a psychologyofdesperationandpanic."
