THE GROVE CARE HOME SUMMER FAIR
At The Grove Care Home in Waltham they believe that it’s important that they should be part of the local community and they’ll be holding a Summer Fair on Saturday 10th June from 2pm – 4pm. Everyone is welcome and there’ll be something for all the family from a bouncy castle and face painting to craft stalls, games and refreshments.
Our philosophy at The Grove is simple; our residents are at the heart of everything we do.... The Grove Care Home is nestled in the leafy village of Waltham, deep in rural Lincolnshire. Designed especially for people looking for both comfort and independence in their retirement. Our residents enjoy spacious rooms with plenty of scope for them to add any personal touches they wish. With lots of opportunities to participate in a lively schedule of events and activities, residents enjoy continuing to partake in their hobbies and interests. Supported by dedicated volunteers from the village of Waltham, residents are able to keep in touch with friends and local interests.

fter a successful year as Mayor of North East Lincolnshire, Cllr Christina McGilligan-Fell chose to mark the approaching end of her term of office by undertaking an impressive series of challenges on a 55 mile route that took her to every part of the borough, covering miles by tandem (assisted by her team of co-riders from Lincs Inspire) and motor launch and raising lots of money along the way for her chosen charities - the Nidd Diabetes Fund and CatZero.

“We’ve been collecting some fantastic raffle prizes from local businesses” said Home Manager Amanda Griffiths “the support has been amazing, it promises to be great afternoon. It’s important for us to invite visitors into The Grove. It’s so good for the residents to meet new people.” For many years local volunteers from the village have come to the home on a weekly basis to help with activities from singing to craft and gardening as well as at events like our Summer Fair. The home will be open again on Care Home Open Day, a nationwide initiative to show the general public what life is like in a care homes across the UK. Everyone is welcome to come and have a look around The Grove, meet our staff team and residents. Care Home Open Day is on Friday 16th June 11-2.30pm.
