Authentic Learning Experiences Goal 1:

D230 will promote innovative instructional experiences to provide students real world opportunities. THINGS WE DID AND/OR LEARNED: 1. Interdisciplinary Learning Opportunities Feedback received from students, staff and administrators 2. Flexible Course Scheduling  Superintendent Advisory feedback  Auditing blended parameters in preparation for SY23-24 offerings 3. Curricular Design: Stage 3 Focus on Empowered Learners THINGS WE PLAN TO DO NEXT: 1. Based on synthesis of the data gathered, the following opportunities will be implemented for SY23-24: a. Expand enrollment in Fitness & Nutrition b. Expand course offerings with the addition of Instructional American Studies and Integrated Global Issues & Freshman English c. Special Education exploring Transfr 2. Expand the blended course offerings based on staff availability & student interest

Goal 2:

D230 will increase completion of courses for students to gain college credit or industry credentials/certifications. THINGS WE DID AND/OR LEARNED: 1. Increase Dual Credit/Enrollment Offerings Course Offerings  Audited Course Offerings  College Career Counselors building a promo of dual credit offerings 2. AP Analysis Building Level Data Analysis  Analysis of building level AP data  Audit National Pass Rate and School Level AP performance for the past 5 years Student Recruitment  Determine students outperforming their “AP Potential” 3. Increase Certification Opportunities Building Level Certification Testing  Math in Construction OSHA certs  New course proposal in English THINGS WE PLAN TO DO NEXT: 1. Audit teacher qualifications with college partnerships 2. Design support for students pursuing advanced coursework

Communication and Engagement Goal 3:

D230 will build a differentiated communication plan to support district and stakeholder needs. THINGS WE DID AND/OR LEARNED: 1. Create Communication Audit 2. Student feedback was collected via Superintendent Advisory Committees at each school 3. Sample Communication Plans are being collected from schools across the country THINGS WE PLAN TO DO NEXT: 1. Systems Review: Seeking proposals from website communication vendors to determine best system for communication 2. Draft 5Essentials Marketing Plan to improve parent engagement to reach 25% parent participation at each campus

Goal 4:

D230 will increase interaction with our community to engage with our academic, co-curricular and post-secondary preparation programs. THINGS WE DID AND/OR LEARNED: 1. A parent engagement audit is underway 2. Through initial input and feedback, we learned that independent of EL families’ needs for translation, many may need information on high schools in the U.S. 3. Translation Each school has begun to translate essential communications, focusing on incoming 8th graders and graduating seniors. Schools started translating other documents, including newsletters and athletic/activity information. Andrew is tracking data on how many are accessing the translated monthly newsletters. THINGS WE PLAN TO DO NEXT: 1. Consider a video series - High School 101 - for parents. Timeless videos to educate families on high school traditions 2. Build a warehouse (website page) of translated annual engagement activities/events. (ie Booster membership, College Night, Back to School Night)

Grade Distribution Building Analysis  Buildings determined the subgroups as an area of focus  Evaluation of D230 multi-tiered system of support 3. Design responsive interventions and finding the best supports for individual students

Continue partnership with Instructional colleagues to embed SEL strategies into Stage 3 (trauma informed practices and restorative practices) and implement the Panorama platform 2. Continue to build targeted interventions to impact achievement gaps based on Panorama data
