ISO Quality Services Ltd are celebrating another successful night at the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber Business Awards after walking away with Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace 2022. The Award now sits proudly next to their previous wins: Family Business of the Year 2021, Excellence in Professional Services 2019, and Excellence in Customer Service 2018. Debbie Farr, HR and Facilities Director who heads the health and wellbeing programme comments: “As a family business with strong people-oriented values, we work hard to create a working environment geared towards creating happy and healthy employees. For the past few years, I have been heading up the wellbeing within the company, from achieving Worcestershire Works Well Accreditations, working with our Mental Health Nurse, improving staff benefits, supporting staff through the pandemic, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and most recently creating company Wellbeing Promises to our staff. Winning the Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace Award at the Chamber Awards was a culmination of all the above, linked with the hard work and support from the whole team, from Director level downwards. It was wonderful to be recognised for the work that we have been doing and to share this with the wider business community. Our team at ISO QSL are amazing and we all feel incredibly proud – especially me!“ This is the second time the firm has been recognised for their health and wellbeing initiatives, having won the Worcestershire Works Well Outstanding Achievement Award back in 2019. This latest win comes less than a week after the firm were also recognised at the Worcestershire Social Media Awards. Here they won Best Social Media Campaign by a Business for their annual charity campaign, Bingo Box which helps support Worcester Foodbank over the Christmas period. In addition, they were Highly Commended for Best Use of LinkedIn by a Business and received silver in Best Use of Twitter by a Business. Their Office Mascot Harry also received a special recognition, winning silver in the Social Media Personality of the Year (non-human) category.

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association (HWGTA) received an “Excellence in EPA delivery” Award last month from City and Guilds and ILM in response to the outstanding results that apprentices are achieving in their End Point Assessment (EPA) tests. HWGTA’s Apprenticeships in Leadership, Management and Engineering are assessed by City and Guilds (who also own the brand ILM) and many are achieving a final grade of Distinction. Nigel Morgan, CEO of HWGTA commented that ‘seeing so many apprentices achieve the highest grade possible is recognition on the high levels of support from our employer partners and HWGTA delivery teams, as well as lots of hard work from the apprentices themselves’.
