Lifelong Learning with Diss u3a
The u3a Movement has over 1000 branches across the country. The Diss u3a was formed in 2003 and we now have a membership of almost 300.
We provide opportunities for shared learning experiences through a wide range of specific Interest Groups, monthly talks and outings.

Membership is inexpensive and open to anyone not in full-time employment. We hold monthly meetings on the first Thursday of every month at the Diss United Reformed Church (URC) on Mere Street at 9:45am, with talks starting at 10.30am. Light refreshments are available at no cost.
We currently have 25 active “Interest Groups” in addition to our monthly meetings covering a diverse range of subjects: walking, languages, lunching, art, mah jong, mediaeval history, ancient history, metal detecting, bird watching, looking at buildings and MOTO (Members on their Own). The groups run at different times and venues, indoors or outdoors, according to subject (check our website for details). If there isn’t a topic that suits your interest, why not suggest a new one!
As an example, “looking at buildings” visits a different town or village each month and is led by a different group member on each occasion. Future visits are planned for Harleston, Woolpit, Kings Lynn and New Buckenham.
Later this year we will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary in Diss! Come and join us – this might be just what you are looking for.
