Understanding Solicitation Regulations in Del Webb Fulshear

Solicitation within Del Webb Fulshear is regulated by the City of Fulshear, and while the HOA does not enforce solicitation restrictions, we want to ensure that residents are informed about the policies in place. Knowing the rules and displaying proper signage can help deter unwanted visits and maintain the peace and privacy of our community.

Preventing Unwanted Solicitation

To discourage solicitors, the HOA has placed “No Soliciting” signs in key areas of the community. However, it is each homeowner’s responsibility to display a “No Soliciting” sign at their residence if they wish to prevent door-to-door visits. As outlined in the DCCRs (Section P-51):

“No Soliciting” and security/alarm notifications shall be limited to placards or stickers not to exceed five by seven inches (5” x 7”) in size, placed on the front door or door frame, in a window near the front door, or in the mulch bed nearest the front door. Except for signs which are part of Declarant’s overall marketing or construction plans or activities for the Properties and except as otherwise provided in this subsection, no sign may be displayed in the window of any improvement located on a Lot.

Key Solicitation Regulations in Fulshear Solicitation Hours:

• Door-to-door solicitation is permitted only between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

• Solicitors must cease all activity outside of these hours.

Permit Requirement:

• Any individual or organization wishing to solicit in Fulshear must obtain a valid solicitation permit from the City of Fulshear.

• Failure to obtain a permit may result in fines or removal from the area.

No Solicitation Signs:

• Residents who do not want solicitors approaching their homes must display a “No Soliciting” sign.

• Solicitors are legally required to respect these signs and must not engage with homes displaying them.

Solicitor Conduct Expectations:

• Solicitors must conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner.

• Any aggressive, disruptive, or harassing behavior should be reported immediately.

Reporting Violations

If an unregistered solicitor is encountered, or if a solicitor ignores a posted “No Soliciting” sign, residents are encouraged to take the following steps:

Contact the Fulshear Police Department at (281) 346-2202.

Provide detailed information, including:

• A description of the solicitor

• Any vehicle details, if applicable

Additional Resources

For more details on solicitation permits and city regulations,

please contact the City of Fulshear at (281) 346-1796 or visit their official website:

City of Fulshear – Approved Solicitors (https://www.fulsheartexas. gov/about-us/departments-a-g/development-services/approvedsolicitors)

By understanding these regulations and properly displaying signage, residents can help maintain a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable living environment. Thank you for doing your part in keeping Del Webb Fulshear a welcoming yet secure community!

As spring begins to bloom, so does the energy within our community. The past several weeks at Del Webb Fulshear have been filled with laughter, music, friendly competition, and unforgettable moments. From lighthearted entertainment to lively celebrations, each event has brought neighbors together in ways that remind us why this community is so special.

We kicked things off with a night of laughter on February 27, welcoming comedian David Studebaker to the stage. His quick wit and relatable humor had the entire audience in stitches, proving once again that nothing beats the joy of shared laughter. Residents left the event with smiles on their faces and requests for more comedy nights in the future.

The next evening, the warm glow of the firepit set the scene for our Fireside Friday featuring John Steele. With music drifting through the night air, friends gathered to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere, good conversation, and the soulful sounds of live acoustic music. Fireside Fridays continue to be a community favorite, offering the perfect blend of relaxation and connection.

As we stepped into March, Karaoke Night on March 6 brought out some hidden vocal talents—and some equally entertaining stage performances! Whether residents took the mic or cheered on their friends, the energy in the room was electric. From classic rock anthems to heartfelt ballads, everyone got their moment in the spotlight, making it a night to remember.

Win-Go Bingo on March 11 proved once again why this event is a must-attend. The stakes were high, and the competition was friendly but fierce. With every number called, excitement filled the room, and lucky winners walked away with prizes—and plenty of bragging rights.

Of course, no Texas spring would be complete without a rodeo-inspired celebration! On March 21, we rounded up the fun at Wildflowers & Wranglers, our End of Rodeo Party. The night was filled with live music from The Cool Water Band, mouthwatering BBQ from Dozier’s, and plenty of two-stepping on the dance floor. Decked out in cowboy hats and boots, residents embraced the spirit of the season, making for an authentic, lively, and truly Texan evening

Closing out the month, our third Fireside Friday on March 28 brought another night of music, good company, and a relaxed atmosphere. This time, we were treated to a fantastic performance by John Steele & John Jones, whose dynamic set had everyone swaying to the beat. As the sun set over Del Webb Fulshear, the evening felt like the perfect sendoff to a wonderful month of events.

As we step into April, the excitement continues! Our calendar is brimming with fresh opportunities to come together, from live music and wellness programs to social gatherings that bring neighbors closer. There's always something happening at Del Webb Fulshear, and we look forward to seeing you at the next event!

Resident Spotlight: Steve Jackson

Meet Steve Jackson, one of the first residents to call Del Webb Fulshear home! Steve and his wife, Pat, moved into the community in March 2023, drawn by the active lifestyle and welcoming atmosphere. Having visited Sun City in Georgetown, TX, they knew that Del Webb communities offered the perfect blend of events, social groups, and opportunities to stay engaged—exactly what they were looking for after downsizing from their 25-acre ranch on a ski lake west of Fulshear.

A Life on the Road

Before settling down in Fulshear, Steve and Pat lived life on the road—literally! They spent four years traveling full-time in a 45-foot motorhome, exploring the U.S., Alaska, and even the provinces of Canada. As much as they loved the gypsy lifestyle, they ultimately wanted to be closer to their six children and fourteen grandchildren.

A Look Back

Born in 1946 in Nashville, Arkansas, Steve moved to Houston’s North Shore at the age of six. After graduating from North Shore High School

in 1965, he attended San Jacinto Jr. College and the University of Houston. During this time, he also served in an Infantry Airborne Battalion of the Texas Army National Guard, completing 24 static line parachute jumps. Years later, he sought an even bigger thrill, completing two free-fall skydives—one of which he did alongside his wife and step-sons!

His professional career was just as dynamic. Steve’s early work was in the shipping industry, where he managed operations across 11 states before transitioning into sales and eventually owning his own Printing and Office Products business. Later, he pursued his passion for wellness by launching Theratouch Corporate Chair Massage, a company providing workplace wellness programs for major corporations.

It was through this business that he met his wife, Pat. The two married in 2006, blending their families
