A LETTER FROM THE CEO Thanks to the wonderful team members of Discovery Senior Living, for making 2015 an amazing year! We wholeheartedly thank each and every one of you for making it the best it could be, and we look forward to carrying all of our successes into this great New Year! We are excited to launch our new Times of Discovery magazine. This sixth edition of the magazine focuses on the expansion of Discovery Senior Living, featuring the latest developments within our communities, along with exciting information on the lifestyles, programs and services we offer, while highlighting our remarkable team members, charity involvement and wonderful stories about some of our intriguing residents. We are proud to announce Discovery Village At Naples won GOLD for the Best 55+ Assisted Living/Special Needs Community, at the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) 2016 Best of 55+ Housing Awards. We would also like to congratulate our home office marketing team for winning one GOLD award and four silver awards.
currently under construction and will be open to residents in the summer of 2016. Construction recently commenced in fall of 2015 on Discovery Village At Tampa Palms, which will bring resort-style senior living to the Tampa community.
Our growth continues with the construction of a new independent living community at Discovery Village At The Forum. The perfect addition to its already successful assisted living community, we look forward to offering our world-class services to a wider demographic of seniors. Discovery Village At Sugarloaf has begun presales on 24 new independent living apartment homes. They have also begun a clubhouse remodel allowing the community to offer even greater services and amenities to its residents. Finally, Discovery Village At Castle Hills has begun its construction on a new Grande Clubhouse and 24 signature club Tom Harrison independent living apartments that Chief Executive Officer will bring a new level of service and lifestyle Co-Founder to the community.
We are pleased to welcome Rittenhouse Senior Living communities to the Discovery Senior Living family! With four locations in Indiana, one in Pennsylvania and one in Alabama, the communities answer a much needed service in their respective areas by offering exceptional assisted living and memory care communities, along with independent living villas at select locations. This is another excellent addition to the Discovery Senior Living portfolio, and one that will continue to strengthen us as a leader and innovator in the senior-living industry. Other great changes are underway within Discovery Senior Living communities. Discovery At Home continues to grow and now provides services to four communities in Florida with DAH onsite. They are also growing the Discovery At Home Wellness Network to improve resident health status both in Florida at four communities and in Texas at four communities. Continued expansion is on the horizon as DAH continues to vet providers for the highest standards in care excellence bringing services to more Discovery Senior Living communities in the near future. Looking back, we are reminded of all that we have accomplished within our industry, and we now set our sights on excellence throughout 2016.
