Events: November 2020 Willoughby Memorial Trust Gallery Oct. 28th – Nov. 25th: “CLAY AND PAPER” an exhibition of the recent ceramics, lino-cuts, collages, and drawings of Lyn Lovitt, a graduate of Central St. Martins School of Art and Design, London, who makes individual pots and sculptural works in high fired clay in her Lincolnshire studio. She regularly exhibits her ceramics, drawings, black and white lino prints and paintings with the Lincolnshire Artists’ Society and at galleries throughout the county. In the light of recent events, their Jazz in the Cellar Bar series is moving online, straight into the artists’ back yards! 16th: “Mini Mondays”: 10:30am. Interactive storytelling with Kirsty from Rhubarb Theatre is back for the autumn 2020 season! 18th: “Poetry Swaps”: 8pm. A regular poetryexchange every second month - now online! - where top poets from Stamford and the surrounding area are invited to present their poetry. . Because of its situation on the Great North Road, many people have passed through Stamford over the centuries. If they were just travelling, their encounters were usually extremely brief, but often repeated. Some of these people were famous or became so; some came for work or another specific purpose, while others lived here for a while, before moving on. 21st – Jan. 21st - “Play @ Home” – Lyngo Theatre, Online portal of videos, creative tasks and more (hosted by Lyngo, full details will be on their web listing). £12 per family. 25th - “Pint of Poetry”: 8pm. The last Wednesday of every month, Stamford poets (and budding poets) perform live stand-up poetry. Enjoy reading aloud to an appreciative crowd. Or if you prefer, simply enjoy the poetry of others. Deepings Camera Club Deepings Camera Club has a programme of events booked until the end of the year. Meetings, talks, and regular competitions are being carried out online via Zoom. Deepings Coffee Club Deepings Coffee Club will not be meeting again this year but hope to return, sometime in 2021. In the meantime, they are staying in touch with members via regular newsletters and look forward to all being able get together when it is safe to do so.
