Discovering Bourne issue 155, July 2024

Page 1

Welcome to your July issue...

Farewell rain and hello sunshine … please! The last few weeks have been so busy with fun outdoors events. It’s so heartwarming when people do actually take up the opportunities offered by those wonderful, hardworking individuals and organised societies who volunteer so readily and with such success, year on year.

In Bourne, for instance, The Wellhead Park has already seen the enormously successful Bourne Festival at the end of May, followed by the D-Day celebrations on June 6th. The Picnic in the Park came next and was so well attended too. The good folk of the Deepings will hopefully turn out in force for your ‘Funday Sunday’ on July 7th, whilst the fabulous Deepings Raft Race will soon be upon us, on August 4th.

In whatever ways you choose to spend these summer days, I wish you all a happy and healthy holiday time.

Claire x

Interesting news came from Germany recently as the football Euros get underway. Besides restricting the English fans by only selling them low-alcohol beer, one police chief recommended that the English fans smoke cannabis rather than getting lairy on the beer. Whatever was wrong with a half-time cup of tea and a Pukka pie, I wonder?

This summer of sport just keeps on providing memories to last us all a lifetime. Add the Paris Olympics (July 26th to August 11th), to the Cricket T20 Men’s World Cup (final on June 29th); Wimbledon (July 1st – 14th) to the British Golf Open at Troon (July 14th – 21st), and we’ve even got England Men’s Rugby in New Zealand (July 6th and 13th). Then, of course, there’s the General Election – hardly a sport unless you include shooting down former cabinet ministers!

And finally:

● When my wife asked whether she should swap her trainer laces for Velcro, I replied, “Why knot?”

● When in France, I always say “beaucoup” – it means a lot to them. Enjoy the read!

Fabulous Outdoor Resources and a Very Supportive PSA

We consider ourselves very lucky to be a village school situated within a fantastic community. This is not something we take for granted and we ensure we take full advantage of it. Within our grounds, we have a forest area with a fire pit, a pond area, and an allotment; these all prove to be amazing resources to capture children’s awe and wonder and provide them with hands-on experiences to bring their learning to life. All our children access this provision once a week throughout the year, come rain or shine.

Outside of our immediate grounds, we have the wonderful village of Edenham who support us in providing a great educational experience for our children. The Parish Council recently donated a peace lamp to us. On the 80th anniversary of D-Day we were able to light this, and it provided a focus for us all to think about what it meant to us. We will look forward to lighting this each year, moving forward, to provide a stark reminder of what has gone on, and is still going on, in the world.

Within our school community, we have our Parent Staff Association who work hard in raising funds and putting on

events for our school, with our children at the heart of everything they do. As our Year 6s step into their final term, the PSA has purchased hoodies for them to remind them of their time with us. Following a successful Summer and Christmas Fair last year, preparation is now well underway for this year’s Summer Fair which will be held at Edenham Village Hall and field. This is taking place on Sunday July 7th, between 1pm - 5 pm There will be a whole range of activities and stalls to entertain families, so please do come down and say hello!

As always, if you want to come and find out more about us, please contact the school office on 01778 591207 or email enquiries@edenham.laat.co.uk.

‘23 Coffee’: A Passion for Coffee Brings Adventurous Couple to Bourne

Tyler and Megan Kearney have spent the past few years on a marvellous ‘journey’ which has involved them bringing up two youngsters, travelling widely through Southeast Asia, returning to establish a thriving mobile coffee outlet, and more recently, creating ‘23 Coffee’, a small, yet perfectly formed, coffee shop in Crown Walk, Bourne.

Discovering Magazines ‘gastro critics’, Claire and Sallyanne, were present on May 28th for the opening day. They were most impressed with not just the delicious coffee and the relaxed atmosphere, but the fact that “we had the pleasure of meeting Tyler and Megan’s children who were both as adorable as the coffee!”

Looking for care can be a little bit daunting, but our team will do all we can to provide all our guests with the guidance and support they may need, and answer all of their questions.”

Now is the time to lift garlic and shallots as the foliage becomes yellow and strawy: hang bulbs out in the sun or in an airy shed. Onions also need drying well before they are stored: a few days before harvesting, loosen the soil around the roots, choose a dry day to lift the bulbs and lay them on the ground in the sun. Do not be tempted to store them until they are thoroughly dry as they will probably rot.

Early potatoes can be lifted and eaten now while they are at their best. If you are not using the space for anything else, a green manure can be planted, such as mustard (a fast-growing crop), which will help prevent weed growth and can be dug in when fully grown to provide nutrients for the soil. With later potato crops, check the plants and earth-up, if necessary, to prevent the tubers going green from exposure to light. Poor potato crops are the result of poor nutrition; try feeding potatoes with a tomato feed. Although it is getting late for sowing and planting, there are still a few crops that can be planted:

• lettuce, rocket and a variety of salad leaves – succession sow for an ongoing supply in the autumn.

• Fast growing varieties of peas, beetroot and carrots – a good time to sow carrots to avoid the carrot fly.

• Florence fennel.

• Plant out your leeks. Just dib a hole about 150mm/6″ deep and drop the leek into the hole. Water it in and there’s no need to fill the holes with soil; enough will wash in with watering and rain.

• Plant out cabbage, cauliflowers, Brussels, broccoli and kale for autumn and winter cropping, using the space created by lifting onions, garlic and early potatoes.

Other jobs to do in the vegetable patch:

• When climbing beans have reached the top of the canes, pinch out the growing tip.

• Strawberries will finish fruiting, so tidy up old foliage and cut off runners or use them to produce new plants.

• Earth up brassicas to give them a firm hold in the soil and give them a top-dressing of nitrogenous fertiliser or an organic liquid feed.

• Nip off the side shoots of your tomatoes; they appear in the “v” between leaf stems and main stems, and when there are four or five trusses, pinch out the growing tip of the plant to allow the fruit to ripen. Water them with a liquid feed as soon as the first fruits are formed. Likewise for peppers.

• Ensure that peas and brassicas are netted to keep off the pigeons.

• Plant potatoes ready for Christmas; garden centres usually stock the winter varieties.

• Use a liquid feed on most crops in moist soil. This can be a proprietary feed from a garden centre or homemade from nettles or comfrey.

• Consider mulching around larger plants like squashes to help preserve water too. You can use well-rotted manure or your own garden compost.

Enjoy the fruits of your labour and let’s hope for sunnier days!

Fairer private renting

Key points from the renters reform bill

MARKET INSIGHTS FROM

• The average asking price of homes being listed for sale on Rightmove has climbed by 0.8% in the last month, to a new high of £375,131.

• The Renters (Reform) Bill is one of the most significant pieces of legislation for private renters and landlords in the past 30 years. At the end of April, it went through its third reading in the House of Commons.

• The government has said it will delay the ban on Section 21 evictions to relieve pressures on court time. However there are also many other significant proposals that affect tenants, letting agents, and landlords.

• The bill also incorporates the transition to rolling tenancies, introduces new guidelines allowing tenants to have pets, establishes England’s first landlord ombudsman, and introduces a new property portal.

• The Conservative Party has committed to passing the bill into law before the date of the next General Election, which is to be held on July 4th.

Do Your Research When Enlisting a Tradesperson

Solar Panel Bird Proofing

Consumers generally do not ask to see verification of tradesmen, nor do they ask to see their insurance or relevant qualifications. Many cases have come to our attention since our launch sixteen years ago, with one recent case of an elderly gentleman who enlisted the services of a tradesman on the recommendation of a neighbour serving as a warning!

The work seemed to have been carried out satisfactorily, and the customer paid the bill – despite not receiving an invoice from the tradesman or a receipt for payment. A few weeks passed when the customer noted issues with the work but was told that the tradesman would not accept responsibility, leaving them with shoddy work and the prospect of finding a new tradesman to rectify the situation.

This is where Peterborough-based Safe Local Trades can offer genuine peace of mind.

By ensuring that all members on our register undergo a stringent vetting process, abide by a Service Charter, and are monitored on an on-going basis, we offer reassurance that the traders on Safe Local Trades are reputable and trustworthy. Spaces on our register are limited, allowing us to carefully select members, all of whom are confident in being vetted and monitored; this deters traders who know that their work is substandard, or their service is poor.

The following checks have been carried out on all our members:

• Interviewed in person

• DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) checked

• Proper identification (e.g., driver’s licence)

• Proof of membership to any Trade Association

• Proof of qualifications (where applicable)

• Proof of statutory qualifications required by law (e.g., Gas Safe Registered, Part P, etc)

• Certificate of Public Liability Insurance and Employers Insurance if applicable

• Certificate of Incorporation for Limited Companies and credit checked

• UTR (Unique Tax Reference) verification for Sole Traders to ensure HMRC registered

• Certificate of VAT registration document (if applicable)

• References taken from up to five previous customers

• Sign and agree to abide by the standards set out in our Service Charter

TRAVEL VACCINATIONS AND HEALTH ADVICE SERVICE

1 WHY MAY I NEED TO BE VACCINATED?

If you’re about to travel outside of the UK, you may need to be vaccinated before you set off for your trip. The childhood vaccination programme in the UK protects you from a number of diseases, but you may need extra vaccinations or antimalarials if you’re planning on visiting certain parts of the world.

2 HOW CAN WE HELP?

Getting vaccinated can help prevent you from getting ill if you’re exposed to diseases which we don’t normally have in the UK. We can help you understand how to keep your risks low while abroad and help you work out which vaccinations and antimalarials you may want to consider depending on things like:

• Which regions you’ll be visiting

• What activities you’ll be doing

• Your age and general health

Some travel vaccinations may be needed several weeks before departure. Ideally you should see us six to eight weeks before travelling, but we may still be able to help if you’re leaving sooner, even days before you travel.

3 WHAT VACCINATIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

● Cholera ● Hepatitis A ● Hepatitis B ● Japanese encephalitis

● Meningitis ACWY ● Rabies ● Tick-borne encephalitis

● Typhoid ● Yellow fever ● And many more

NON TRAVEL VACCINATIONS ALSO AVAILABLE Chicken Pox, Meningitis and MMR

CHILDHOOD IMMUNISATIONS ALSO AVAILABLE

Procrastination

Putting off until tomorrow what you could do today

Life today is full of distractions: phone alerts, email, social media, 24hour shopping or entertainment, and its everywhere. It’s a bit like a rabbit hole waiting for you to go down to spend large chunks of your day or waste your day away.

People who procrastinate tend to choose short-term gratification over long-term, more worthwhile goals. They do this regardless of whether the delay has serious health, academic or financial implications.

Chronic procrastination is not a mental health diagnosis, but is related to:

● increased stress/anxiety

● poor grades in school

● poor health

● addictions

● poor performance at work

● failing to reach important goals.

University and college students procrastinate up to 46% and report they procrastinate on specific academic tasks, and about 10% to 20% of adults in the general population are chronic procrastinators.

“Procrastination and selfcontrol are closely related”

Procrastination has often been attributed to poor time management, but chronic procrastination is due to poor self-regulation. The prospect of enduring a tax return, exam, the housework, or odd jobs just doesn’t have the same immediate

appeal as shopping, indulging in an addiction, social media, being slumped in a chair, or caffeine.

“Tug-of-war between your present and

future selves”

Procrastinators are engaging in a constant tug-of-war between your emotionally-driven, pleasure-seeking, ‘current self’, who would rather watch TV than say go to bed, and the rational, reasoning, ‘future self’ who ends up being tired the next day due to lack of good quality sleep. So, you are letting your ‘future self’ down. There’s a difficulty in bridging the gap between the present and future self which is one factor that may contribute to the mood and behaviour regulation failure that drives us to procrastination.

Overcoming Distraction with Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for overcoming procrastination; it empowers you to gain access to the deeper, subconscious part of the mind, speaking to it directly. Hypnosis allows you to nourish the subconscious with new information, removing those negative thinking patterns that are holding you back. Helping you to train your mind to get into the zone, focusing on the task at hand, and allowing your mind to be quietly getting things done. Hypnotherapy also helps to improve general lifestyle, and make changes to improve sleep, healthy eating and stress, which are all energy stealers. Once you increase energy, your motivation increases too, allowing you to just get on with things effortlessly.

Clean Break Orders in Matrimonial Cases

It is invariably very sad when there is a divorce. The benefits of marriage in a separation are that the Court has powers under ‘The Matrimonial Causes Act’ to consider such things as whether it is appropriate to equalize the wealth of the parties, such as the equity in homes and savings accounts which are classed as “Non-Pension Assets”. Other assets might be the value in stocks, shares, debentures (business loans) motor cars and jewellery. Pensions may also be equalized in a ‘Pension Sharing Order’ or an ‘Attachment Order’.

On occasions, the assets of a marriage might not be shared equally due to: the needs of the parties, especially where one party cannot earn as much as the other; their conduct (although it must be really bad); or contributions (which are less easy to argue these days). The case law on this matter is always evolving. All parties should try to keep unnecessary differences to a minimum, as this helps keep costs down.

‘Disclosure’ is the exchange of financial information about income, assets, liabilities, pensions and outgoings. Borrowing capacity and sample properties from sales particulars should be looked at to establish ‘needs’. Upon disclosure being completed, the parties can try to negotiate.

If they can settle matters, they can agree the terms of what is called an ‘Order by Consent’ and this can only be applied for when there is a ‘Conditional Order’ in the divorce procedure.

If the parties cannot settle, they can;-

1) Continue to negotiate

2) Issue financial proceedings

3) Attempt mediation

4) Use a single barrister to conciliate.

Should you need any assistance regarding such issues, please arrange to see us at Bourne Office.

Our Watercress Heritage

Watercress is tricky to grow in safe and consistent quantities. It lasts only two days or so when picked fresh, which explains why supermarkets sell it in lightly chlorinated and sealed bags, which is a bit of a compromise. The stories about it being good nutrition for you are probably all true.

Edwin Nathaniel Moody gets the credit for establishing Bourne’s first commercial-scale, cress beds. In the early twentieth century, watercress had become one of our major town industries with tons of produce sent by railway in wicker hampers to wholesale markets in London and Leicester.

John Stennett of Bourne describes wearing rubber waders, working with rakes and sharp knives, standing over the beds which were eighteen inches deep, adding, “I remember in winter we used to tie hessian sacks around our waist to keep out the cold winds when breaking ice”. The work was complex, seasonal and demanding.

Rex Needle takes up the story: “The cress beds, which covered three and a half acres, have now disappeared. They were eventually bought by South Lincolnshire Water Board which continued to run them until 1974 when they were closed and filled in”. The old beds are now a parkland meadow owned by Bourne United Charities.

There were other watercress beds on what is now Baldwin Grove and on South Road in Bourne, whilst

out of town there were beds at Kates Bridge, formerly Waterside Nursery, but now ‘Cresslands’.

Historically, watercress was much appreciated and thought of as a medicinal plant “for scorbutic ills” and no doubt many other cures and remedies. It would be picked wild from fast-flowing streams to be safe against the parasitic fluke. The German idea of producing it in quantity as a commercial salad plant had to overcome cultural hurdles before adoption here, at least according to W. W. Glenny’s 1897 learned article on watercress.

William Bradbery of Ebbsfleet in Kent gets the credit for bringing the commercial cress bed over here in 1808. As Joan Thirsk rather delicately puts it, “Watercress found favour in England among all classes because it was the one salad plant which was best eaten alone, unadorned, and not mixed with other green stuff”. None of that continental dressed salad malarkey! That came later.

Henry Mayhew records that the watercress seller had to be up early in time for the mechanics’ breakfast “or the day’s gains are lost”.

Radfield Home Care Launches New Live-in Care Service

Radfield Home Care, (winner of the Mercury Business Awards Customer Service category, 2023), has launched a new live-in care service to support a Stamford resident to return to the home and community that he loves.

Peter Herrick, 83, of Exeter Gardens, lives with Parkinson’s disease. When his health took a turn for the worse, Peter and his family felt that residential care was the only realistic option for him.

However, Peter, a regular bridge player who has always enjoyed an active life, missed his home so much that he soon lost his motivation for life. Having previously received home care support from Radfield, Peter called them in despair to see if they could help. His call led to the very rapid creation of Radfield Home Care’s new 24-hour Live-in Care Service. They liaised between Peter, his friends and his family and initiated upgrades to his home to ensure that it would be a safe environment for him to return to.

Radfield appointed two carers, who now live with Peter for two weeks at a time each. They quickly helped him to re-establish his independence and to reconnect with friends and his favourite activities. He now has regular visits from friends at home, plays bridge online and has even started to visit his local bridge club again.

If you would like to find out more about Radfield Home Care’s Live-in Care Services, please contact James Beech on 01780 755722 or at james.beech@ radfieldhomecare.co.uk.

Inheritance Tax – HMRC Windfall Continues

According to recently released figures from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), the amount of money received from Inheritance Tax (IHT) exceeded £7.5 billion for the first time, in the year to April 2024, and this figure is set to grow to over £9 billion by 2028.

The International Monetary Fund has even suggested that increasing Inheritance Tax by broadening its base could be a way to ease the government’s ‘difficult’ fiscal situation.

Now, I am not a politician. But the fact is that, by the time you read this, a new government will have been sworn in (or will be just about to be) following the General Election on July 4th.

I know that it is not long since I was writing about the rumours of Inheritance Tax being abolished by the Conservatives, but the fact is they simply couldn’t afford it, and the new government, whatever its political hue, is unlikely to be able to either.

Any new government will inherit the public finances in a poor state, with ever-growing demands on what is an already stretched budget. This means that a new government could take the IMF’s recommendation to heart and broaden the number of people who fall into the IHT net. The number of estates affected by IHT has grown by 250% since 2010 with 6.7% of estates now paying the tax.

What does this mean for us? As ever, the right planning will always pay dividends. Making sure that you use all the allowances available to you and your family, the judicious use of gifting whilst you are alive, and having tax-efficient wills in place all serve to make IHT a broadly voluntary tax.

If you are worried and want to talk “all things IHT”, then call us and book a consultation with one of our qualified staff and we will take you through all your options and the associated costs.

Local Care Home Embraces Flower Power

Residents at Wood Grange Care Home in Bourne celebrated Chelsea Flower Show which took place from May 21st to the 25th. Besides watching the show on TV, they also held their own Chelsea-inspired activities for the green-fingered.

Residents took part in flower-based activities throughout the week. These included Garden Club, (the home’s ‘Green Team’ initiative which sees volunteers visit Wood Grange monthly

to support them with garden maintenance) where residents planted tomatoes; residents reminiscing about their old gardens/flowers; and a paper flower workshop which everyone really enjoyed. Their collective knowledge about flowers and shrubs gained from years of gardening experience was very impressive.

Katya Petrova, General Manager at Wood Grange said, “It has been wonderful to see all the beautiful garden designs at Chelsea; it has given us real inspiration to try some new planting schemes and see what we can achieve in our own garden. Our varied ‘life enrichment programme’ keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.”

Wood Grange is run by Barchester Healthcare and provides nursing care, residential care, and respite care. For more information, please contact Katya Petrova on katya.petrova@barchester.com.

Residents at The Cedars Have a Visit from the Gym

The Cedars Care Home in Bourne got active for “Senior Health and Fitness Day” on May 29th. Residents were thrilled to welcome volunteers from The Universal Fitness Centre in Bourne, who demonstrated exercises for the residents, to increase their mobility and maintain physical health.

The personal trainers went through a range of exercises, including stretches; the use of fitness bands; and ball games designed for all levels of ability. The staff were very supportive and encouraging, and residents really enjoyed completing the session with them.

The session was arranged as part of The Cedars ‘Wish Jar’ scheme. Barbara Hurford wanted to attend a professional exercise class, so this day seemed the best time for her wish. The Universal Fitness Centre were happy to donate their time for the benefit of the residents, who are asking when they can come again!

Cedars, said, “This is a great opportunity to learn new ways of maintaining fitness, whatever life brings. We all had a lot of fun, and we would like to say thank you to the staff from The Universal Fitness Centre for providing such a fun and engaging session.”

The Cedars’ varied life-enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities. The Care Home is run by Barchester Healthcare, and provides residential, nursing and dementia care for fifty-six residents, from respite care to long-term stays.

Words from the New Mayor

First, please let me introduce myself. I am Councillor Helen Crawford and I have been a member of Bourne Town Council since 2017.

Ihad the great honour of being made Mayor of Bourne on May 28th. I have lived in Bourne for the last twenty-seven years and raised two children, Lydia and Liam, who both attended Bourne Westfield Primary School and Bourne Academy, and who have now “fled the nest”. I am pleased to say that my dear friend, Mrs Nicola Hampton, has agreed to be my Consort for the year and together, we will do our utmost to promote Bourne as the best place to live. I also represent Bourne West on the District Council.

My first duty was the huge honour of meeting Ron Parish (aged 102) who resides at The Cedars. This was a very poignant meeting, as it was on June 6th, the eightieth anniversary of D-Day. Ron was a rear gunner in Bomber Command, 149 Squadron, and can remember that eventful day. I was delighted to meet some of the other residents who were also reminiscing about that historical event.

Later that day, we had an act of commemoration on the Bourne United Charities Memorial Gardens, to remember those who gave their lives and

to remember the veterans who made it home. I was joined by Rev Stephen Buckman, Rev Nick Humphries and Lt Col Tom Hamilton, and was so pleased to see a great many residents attending.

The following Sunday, I attended the Civic Service of Councillor Pam Byrd, the Mayor of Market Deeping, and on the next day, I met young cyclists who, with the help of Bourne Wheelers and led by Brian Moran, get to practise their skills on the Recreation Ground on a Monday evening.

Another year has flown by and the Picnic in the Park arrived on June 16th, which I was proud to open. Many talented singers, musicians and dancers were there to entertain us, whilst the weather kept fine, tempting lots of people to come to the Wellhead. The Red Hall and Baldock’s Mill were open and had lots of visitors, as did the Car Show where I was asked to judge and hand out the rosettes. A huge thank you to Bourne United Charities, Bourne Events Team, Bourne Town Council and all of you who attended.

If you have an event that you would like me to attend, then please contact Bourne Town Council. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Wills

Why do I need a will?

Wills are important to ensure that your assets pass to those you would like. If you are not married, your partner will not automatically inherit your estate.

If you have children, you can also use a will to nominate guardians to ensure they are looked after if the worst may happen.

Lasting Powers of Attorney

What are they?

Lasting Powers of Attorneys (LPAs) are documents that allow someone that you nominate as your attorney, to deal with your financial or health affairs on your behalf.

These are used when you lose mental capacity but must be created while you can still make decisions. If you do not create these in time, then unfortunately the solution is more costly and time consuming.

Probate

What is it?

When a person sadly passes away, some banks and institutes require a Grant of Probate to enable you to collect in their assets. If you are selling a house, a solicitor will require this to complete the sale.

We are licensed to assist with the probate application on your behalf, as well as distribute the estate, making everything simpler at this difficult time.

“Treated to an Afternoon of Amazing Talent! Thanks, LDC!”

The extremely popular, Bourne-based LDC Dance School performed their annual dance showcase twice, on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May, at The Key Theatre in Peterborough. The show, “CURSE”, drew sell-out audiences on both days, and “Discovering Bourne’s” Arts and Culture reporter, Claire, was invited to the Sunday afternoon performance.

To say Claire was impressed would be akin to saying that Taylor Swift is “quite popular”! She explains, “It’s just awesome to see how LDC has grown over the years. The entire production was totally professional and creatively mind-blowing. Lauren’s (Lauren Willis, founder and amazing driving force) imaginative

processes are phenomenal. Add to that the inclusiveness which she achieves with such wonderful young people. Lauren strives each year to improve on her performances and this year was a true testament to that. We cannot wait for next year!

Many thanks for inviting us, Lauren and your dance family.”

Why not join LDC Dance and explore all styles of urban dance, from Locking to Popping, from House to Hip Hop, besides taking influences from Jazz, Lyrical and Commercial Dance?

Sales price snakes and ladders

Asking prices reach record high

MARKET INSIGHTS FROM

• The average asking price of homes being listed for sale on Rightmove has climbed by 0.8% in the last month, to a new high of £375,131.

• The top-of-the-ladder sector is driving price growth, with 4-bed detached and 5+-bed properties increasing 1.6% in the last month, ascending higher than the first-time buyer and second stepper segments.

• A spring pick-up in the property market combined with pent-up demand is

resulting in upwards pressure on prices. May is typically a strong month for price growth, with new price records set in May in 12 of the past 22 years.

• However, the market remains price sensitive, with 62% of offers currently being accepted at up to 5% below asking price, with a further 20% slipping to more than 5% below.
