Every year I am so surprised at just how quickly, within a few weeks, we’ve moved on from those cold, dark mornings and all those high winds and storms. Blossom is now on show and summer is nearly upon us. Global warming? Ok, well just a little bit then!
I hope you find the wide range of topics included in this month’s magazine both informative and enjoyable. As ever, many thanks to all our contributors and advertisers for their hard work and for your continuing support and words of encouragement.
Good luck to our colleague, Sarah Brooks and all the other fabulous fund-raisers whose last few months of ‘training hell’ will have helped make it a ‘heavenly’ outcome on Sunday April 27th, as they tackle the formidable London Marathon!
Enjoy the Easter break and all those chocolate treats, and best wishes for a happy and healthy month. Claire x
First, many congratulations and yet commiserations too, to our local heroes, Bourne Town FC. Just two games from a trip to Wembley for the final of the FA Vase, they met their match, narrowly losing 1-0 to Surrey side, AFC Whyteleafe. However, there is still an opportunity to visit Wembley for us locals. At around 5pm on April 13th, I wonder whether we’ll still be singing, “We never lose at Wemb erley” as the final of the Vertu Trophy sees the mighty Posh facing the also ‘quite mighty’ Birmingham City! And finally:
✦ How about the Birmingham footballer caught cheating in the limbo contest – just how low can you get?
✦ He saw a wig for sale, 75% off, and said, “That’s a small price toupee!”
Enjoy the read.

Since 2014, when Bourne welcomed its first restaurant specialising in Thai cuisine, Sassi’s has become very popular with large numbers of discerning diners, whether as visitors to the attractive restaurant on South Street or as ‘takeaway customers’, seeking an alternative to the long-established food offering from Bourne’s restaurants.
Last month, the ownership of Sassi’s transferred from Alan and his family, (Sassi being his partner’s Thai daughter), to a charming Thai family who have recently moved to Bourne from their successful restaurant business in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Owner Nattanan Thumphong (aka Noon), her husband Punyawat Thumphong (Teoy), and their colleagues, Weera Jandam (Bam) and her husband Parichat Jandam (Chom) were all working together in their restaurant in Maidenhead.
This partnership will remain, with Noon being the welcoming, smiling face to greet and serve their customers, whilst Teoy, Bam and Chom will bring to bear their twenty years of experience and expertise as chefs for the benefit of their diners, wishing to enjoy the finest in Thai cuisine.
Noon explained how Thai cooking places much emphasis on lightly prepared dishes using fresh ingredients (nothing from the freezer!) with aromatics and spicy heat. From a wide-ranging choice of dishes on the menu, she suggested how Sassi’s ‘Green Curry’ and ‘Massaman Curry’ are likely to be amongst the favourite options chosen by diners, along with the famous noodle accompaniment, ‘Pad Thai’. The spicy Thai salads on offer include ‘Nam Tok Neua’ (a spicy, hot and sour beef salad) whilst her speciality, ‘Papaya Salad’ (shredded green papaya in Thai style salad sauce) is rarely to be found in this country.
The spacious eating area and well stocked bar provide an attractive, relaxing atmosphere. There are several reminders of the East Asian culture on display, including a welcoming model of a Buddha watching over proceedings!
To encourage the good folk of Bourne and district to either “give it a go” or to return as regulars, Sassi’s has a most tempting promotion offer throughout April 2025: 30% off ‘dine-in’ food on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
A permanent 10% reduction is made for all takeaway food order collections, whilst Noon hopes to be able to offer a home delivery facility in the future.

Tracey Mason (Hereward Practice Manager at Lakeside Healthcare in Bourne) was joined by Discovering Magazine’s Claire Saberton recently to acknowledge the contribution made by Mandy on her retirement.
Tracey explained, “Mandy has been a fantastic asset to our team since she joined us in 2019, known for her excellent communication skills, warm empathy and the ability to build lasting relationships with everyone she meets. She brightened the office with laughter and positive energy. Whether it was lending a listening ear or offering a word of advice to patients or colleagues, Mandy always made time for others. While we’ll miss her greatly, Mandy has promised to stay in touch, and we wish her the very best in her retirement.”
Claire was delighted to be there for Mandy’s flower presentation, adding, “Mandy has been so kind and understanding whenever I have visited the practice with my father-in-law. We all wish Mandy a healthy and happy retirement.”

Two years on from establishing her successful mobile microsuction ear wax removal service (Bourne Ear Care), Julia Brown has been delighted to welcome her daughter, Kayla into the business in December. A dental nurse with twenty years’ experience, many of the skills Kayla has acquired will transfer to her new role. Besides learning about the anatomy of the ear, Kayla has learned how to test hearing, fine tune hearing aids, take aural impressions and of course, she has also learned all about ear wax removal, (clinical and practical).
Ear wax removal is not regulated, so anyone from any background can enrol on a weekend course, then on the Monday they can be removing ear wax. Kayla has undergone comprehensive training and now,

having completed her course and qualified as a Hearing Care Assistant, is taking on appointments for home visits.
Both Julia and Kayla are members of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA), and the Association of Hearing Health Professionals (AIHHP). These are professional bodies committed to upholding the highest standards of audiology.
Bourne Ear Care covers South Lincolnshire - Bourne, Boston, Crowland, Grantham, Holbeach, Market Deeping (The Deepings), Sleaford, Spalding, Stamford, and the Peterborough area. Spring is the time of renewal and rebirth, a celebration of the resilience of life. Animals and plants that have struggled to survive the winter find new hope and create the next generation. Barnes explains the science of the seasons, and highlights the music, paintings and poetry that have tried to capture it.
However, he reveals how our impact on the planet is beginning to destroy the natural course of the seasons, and that elements of spring – from migrating birds to emerging butterflies – are endangered by climate change.

t has been another quiet month for me as Mayor, but I did have my “Charity Night” which was a Bingo, Sausage and Mash Night. We raised £1,000 for my charities - a fantastic amount! So, I would like to thank all those who attended and bought raffle tickets; my bingo caller, Councillor Rhys Baker; Kirsty and Emma at Bourne Town Council; Lydia Crawford and Nicola Hampton for selling raffle tickets; Andy Binder for the food; and finally the Team at the Corn Exchange.
Bourne Town Council will be having its “Spring Clean” again this year. This is where we hope individuals and businesses will join us in litter picking all around the town. This will be happening between Saturday April 5th and Sunday 13th. I would like to thank Bourne Skip Hire for providing the skip, free of charge, to take away the rubbish. For more details, please contact Bourne Town Council on 426123.
If you have an event that you would like me to attend, or just for me to come and visit, then please contact the office on 426123.
It’s now time to wish you all a Happy Easter.

Our vision is at the heart of everything we do: “fostering a love of learning, a love for our community, and preparing our pupils for the future”. It was truly rewarding, therefore, to have this recognized during our recent Ofsted inspection in January.
We take great pride in welcoming visitors to our school to experience first-hand the enriching opportunities we offer our children. It was especially meaningful to have this reflected in our inspection, where it was acknowledged that pupils receive an exceptional start to their education in our Reception setting. This strong foundation continues throughout their time at Edenham, with children rising to our high expectations.
Although we are a small, nurturing village school (something we deeply cherish), we remain committed to equipping our pupils for the future and the ever-evolving world they will navigate. This dedication shines through the way our children approach their learning and the progress they make here.
If you would like to learn more about our school, we warmly invite you to get in touch and arrange a visit. We would love to share our wonderful community with you!

If you’re about to travel outside of the UK, you may need to be vaccinated before you set off for your trip. The childhood vaccination programme in the UK protects you from a number of diseases, but you may need extra vaccinations or antimalarials if you’re planning on visiting certain parts of the world.
Getting vaccinated can help prevent you from getting ill if you’re exposed to diseases which we don’t normally have in the UK. We can help you understand how to keep your risks low while abroad and help you work out which vaccinations and antimalarials you may want to consider depending on things like:
• Which regions you’ll be visiting
• What activities you’ll be doing
• Your age and general health
Some travel vaccinations may be needed several weeks before departure. Ideally you should see us six to eight weeks before travelling, but we may still be able to help if you’re leaving sooner, even days before you travel.

Are you feeling disconnected in your relationships? Do you wish you could communicate better with your partner, but find yourself stuck in the same cycle? Whether you're facing minor communication issues or deeper emotional wounds, seeking professional relationship counselling can help guide you and your partner towards a stronger, healthier bond.
As a dedicated psychotherapist, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate the complexities of love, trust, and emotional intimacy. With many years of life experience and a compassionate, client-centred approach, I provide a healthy space where couples can open up, be heard, and gain insight into the dynamics that may be keeping them apart.
When conflicts arise, they can affect every aspect of your life—from your emotional wellbeing to your professional and social interactions. Without intervention, issues left unresolved can cause lasting damage to the relationship. Here’s how relationship counselling can help:
◆ Improved Communication. Learn to express your needs in a way that fosters understanding, not conflict.
◆ Conflict Resolution. Gain effective tools to resolve disagreements without escalation, helping both partners feel heard and respected.
◆ Deeper Connection. Rediscover intimacy and emotional closeness by understanding each other’s fears, desires, and emotional triggers.
◆ Trust Rebuilding. Whether it’s overcoming betrayal or repairing broken trust, I will guide you through the necessary steps to heal and rebuild a stronger foundation.
◆ Pre-Marital Counselling: Set your relationship up for success with premarital counselling that explores important topics and prepares you for a life together.
If, however, your relationship has reached its end, relationship counselling can help you manage the situation to minimise the fall-out; especially to reduce the potential harm done to children when their parents break up.
Every relationship is unique, and so is every counselling experience. My approach is personalised, pragmatic, and deeply empathetic. I work collaboratively with both partners to uncover underlying issues and explore how your past experiences may be influencing your current dynamics.

Li fe today is full of distractions: phone alerts, email, social media, 24-hour shopping or entertainment, and its everywhere. It’s a bit like a rabbit hole waiting for you to go down to spend large chunks of your day or waste your day away.
People who procrastinate tend to choose short-term gratification over long-term, more worthwhile goals. They do this regardless of whether the delay has serious health, academic or financial implications.
Chronic procrastination is not a mental health diagnosis, but is related to:
✦ increased stress/anxiety
✦ poor grades in school
✦ poor health
✦ addictions
✦ poor performance at work
✦ failing to reach important goals.
University and college students procrastinate up to 46% and report they procrastinate on specific academic tasks, and about 10% to 20% of adults in the general population are chronic procrastinators.
Procrastination has often been attributed to poor time management, but chronic procrastination is due to poor self-regulation. The prospect of enduring a tax return, exam, the housework, or odd jobs just doesn’t have the same immediate appeal as shopping, indulging in an addiction, social media, being slumped in a chair, or caffeine.
“Tug-of-war between your present and future selves”
Procrastinators are engaging in a constant tug-ofwar between your emotionally driven, pleasureseeking, ‘current self’, who would rather watch TV than say go to bed, and the rational, reasoning, ‘future self’ who ends up being tired the next day due to lack of good quality sleep. So, you are letting your ‘future self’ down. There’s a difficulty in bridging the gap between the present and future self which is one factor that may contribute to the mood and behaviour regulation failure that drives us to procrastination.
Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for overcoming procrastination; it empowers you to gain access to the deeper, subconscious part of the mind, speaking to it directly. Hypnosis allows you to nourish the subconscious with new information, removing those negative thinking patterns that are holding you back. Helping you to train your mind to get into the zone, focusing on the task at hand, and allowing your mind to be quietly getting things done. Hypnotherapy also helps to improve general lifestyle, and make changes to improve sleep, healthy eating and stress, which are all energy stealers. Once you increase energy, your motivation increases too, allowing you to just get on with things effortlessly.
“Don’t let your future self down”
with Rob Schwarz
n this month’s edition, I’m exploring financial planning and how it differs from traditional financial advice. In my opinion, the approach of traditional financial advisers has given our profession a bit of a bad rap…
+ Only accessible by the wealthy
+ Focused on selling products
+ An expensive and opaque service
Throughout my career, I’ve worked for traditional financial advice firms as well as, most recently, co-founding my own financial planning business, Finova Money Ltd.
In its simplest form, proper financial planning can be described as…
“Planning ahead, so that you have enough money to live your desired lifestyle forever, without the fear of your money running out.”
It’s about tailoring a financial roadmap for you and your family, so that you know you’re on track to achieve the things that are most important to you.
Whilst a financial planner does all the things a financial adviser can do, the financial planner goes one step further by helping clients answer big questions like…
+ Am I going to be okay?
+ When can work become a choice?
+ Can we afford to do the things we love?
Unlike financial advice firms who may have big barriers to entry (£500,000 minimum investment, for example), proper financial planning is much more accessible.
It's for anyone seeking financial stability, whether you’re just starting out and need guidance with budgeting and saving, or whether you’re a seasoned professional, planning for life after work. As such, the level of service you require should be determined by your unique circumstances, not by how much wealth you have accumulated or ‘assets under management’.
Building a roadmap which shows you where you are today and how to get to where you want to be will give you complete clarity over your financial future.
I’m happy to say that proper financial planning is on the rise and becoming more accessible.
This may involve…
+ Getting organised and tidying up your existing plans
+ Agreeing a bespoke savings plan to fill any gaps
+ Ensuring your plan is well-protected if anything happens to you
Armed with this information, you’ll feel confident about your future, knowing you have a robust plan in place to support it.
If any of the above sounds of interest, I’d be delighted to offer a free initial, 30-minute call to see how I may be able to help – just scan the QR code below. See you next month!

Hopefully, temperatures will rise this month and, as the days lengthen, there will be plenty to do on the vegetable patch: sowing, weeding and planting. However, beware as there is always a threat of night frosts: don’t forget to cover early sowings with fleece or cloches if frosts are forecast!
A major task in April is planting out potatoes. A rough guide would be: plant out first earlies around late-March, second earlies early to midApril, and maincrops mid to late-April. Potatoes need a sunny site, away from frost pockets, (the newly emerging foliage is susceptible to frost damage in April and May). The traditional planting method is to dig a trench 12cm (5in) deep and space the tubers 30cm (12in) apart for earlies and 37cm (15in) for maincrop, in rows 24in (60cm) apart for earlies and 75cm (30in) apart for maincrop. Alternatively, you can grow the potatoes under black polythene, planting the tubers through slits. The advantage of this method is that there is no need to “earth up” and the new potatoes form just below soil level which means there’s no digging to harvest them, they’ll lie just below the sheet.
A very useful job this month is to prepare seed beds ready for sowing. Rake over the soil when it is fairly dry to break it down into small, even particles, until you get a fine “tilth”. When sowing, if the soil is dry, water the base of the drill generously; if wet, sprinkle a thin layer of sand before sowing. If you forgot to manure in the autumn, you could still add well-rotted manure or compost but dig it in thoroughly.
You can sow several seeds indoors; chillies, peppers, celery, courgettes and summer squashes, runner and French beans, sprouting broccoli, Florence fennel, courgettes, summer squashes and sweetcorn are just a few.
Other jobs:
• Last chance to plant onion sets and sow aubergines and tomatoes indoors for transplanting out.
• Most root crops can be sown now; it is probably your last chance to sow parsnips
• You can sow the following outdoors, but under cover; beetroot, cucumbers, lettuces, turnips, oriental leaves, leeks, cabbage and salad leaves. They can be sown in pots, modules or prepared seed beds from which you can transplant them. If you grow any seedlings in trays or modules and they have grown a couple of “true leaves”, prick them out and move to individual pots or larger modules. You can also harden off young plants by putting them outdoors on sunny days but bring them back in at night or put them in a cold frame or under cloches.
• Don’t forget to regularly hand weed or hoe around seedlings as the weeds appear, as they create a lot of competition for food and moisture.
• Make sure that fruit trees, canes and bushes are kept watered as any planted in the last 18 months is susceptible to drought damage. Adding mulch around the base will help.
• Sow maincrop peas and make the last sowing of summer broad beans.
Enjoy the longer days!

April is often associated with pranks and playful tricks, but the issue of scammers is no laughing matter. This month, we are highlighting some of the most recent scams reported to Which? that have been deceiving customers in recent weeks.
BP impersonation email
An email purporting to be from BP invites recipients to ‘answer and win’ a complimentary ‘car emergency kit.’ However, this email directs users to a phishing site featuring a brief survey aimed at capturing personal and financial details.
M&S afternoon tea hamper
A fraudulent email posing as Marks and Spencer claims that you have been selected to receive a Marks and Spencer Afternoon Tea Letterbox Hamper. To claim this prize, you are urged to click on a suspicious link and fill out a survey. This link directs you to a site designed to capture your personal and financial details.
Holiday scams
To safeguard against holiday scams:
1 Avoid deals which sound too good to be true.
2 To ensure the travel company is legitimate, verify their affiliation with travel protection agencies by checking the websites of ATOL, ABTA, and ABTOT if their logos are displayed.
3 Check the holiday company’s reviews on various platforms.
4 Using a credit card or PayPal for payment offers greater protection in case of any issues.
A fraudulent email posing as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) informs recipients that their recent vehicle tax payment was unsuccessful due to inaccurate information. The message includes a link for updating these details, warning that failure to do so could result in a fine of up to £1000 and the possibility of their information being forwarded to a debt collection agency. Clicking on this link directs users to a harmful phishing site designed to capture personal and financial data.
Report scams
• If you wish to report a scam email, you can do so by forwarding it to report@phishing.gov.uk
• You can report scam websites to www.ncsc.gov.uk/ collection/phishing-scams/report-scam-website
• To report scam calls on an iPhone, send a text with the word ‘call’ and the phone number to 7726. For Android users, simply text ‘call’ to the same number. You will receive a reply message requesting the scam number.
66,200 mortgages approved in January
• Mortgage approvals in January were 18% higher than a year earlier, as buyers look to secure properties before the nilrate threshold for stamp duty reverts from £250,000 back to £125,000 in April.
• While the current rush might leave the market quieter than usual after April, indications are that demand levels are rising modestly with activity increasing, even for sales unlikely to complete before the deadline.
• Agents in the latest RICS UK Residential Market Survey report rising
levels of market appraisals compared to a year ago and anticipate an increase (albeit modest) in transactions in coming months.
• The picture is fairly cautious. As stamp duty changes bring extra costs, the winter economic backdrop, with its uncertainty on inflation and mortgage rates, may deter some buyers as we move through the year.

We’re
WORDS FROM RICHARD WOOD
Everyone seems to say how quickly time is passing. At school, however, it goes so slowly, especially at primary school. Then it all speeds up. If only we had that Time Machine - Doctor Who’s Tardis or the Delorean of Doc Brown from “Back to the Future”! Three months in, and 2025 appears to be heading the same way. The more years we have, the more time appears relatively to speed up.
Wisdom is learned as we get older. The law and legal situations may change too. Society changes and the law catches up. For example, Matrimonial Law has changed to reflect today’s views and values. Property and Probate law is slowly becoming more digital.
So much of this could not have been foreseen at school or university. “Don’t worry about computers,” one lecturer once told me! They were probably too busy reading Law Reports to notice
the advent of the Spectrum and BBC Computers. We should have seen it all advancing in the distance when playing on the TV with a Binatone Game System.
◆ When at school, we may need our parents to understand Education Law; for instance, there may be a personal injury occurring on a sports pitch. In later teens, we learn to drive and need to understand Road Traffic Law.
◆ The Law of Property and Matrimonial Law clearly impact on us as adults.
◆ In our work, we have employment rights as employees and employers. There are duties which become more complex over the years.
◆ Then, in older years, wills, Probate, and Lasting Powers of Attorney become more relevant.
Double and Megson has seen many interesting changes since our beginnings in 1978.
Here at W & P Legal we have always had a real commitment to educating our staff and (this one might come as a surprise) our clients. I guess the bit about educating the staff might seem obvious; we need to know what we are doing, right? But you would be amazed at how many law firms have advisors and admin staff who have no formal legal qualifications. Sure, the solicitors have taken the exams and must do a certain amount of revision each year (called Continuing Professional Development or CPD), but for most of their staff, there is no such requirement.
We are different. Everyone who works in our client-facing teams has an appropriate
NICK ASH, Managing Director W&P Legal
qualification; when you call one of our advisors or case handlers, you will be speaking to a qualified paralegal, a solicitor or a specialist trust and estates practitioner. Everyone who works with me is required to do at least twenty-five hours CPD per year (I did over 125 last year alone). So, you can be confident that you can rely on us.
The second part is more interesting. Why would we seek to educate our clients? Put simply, it is so that you can make the right choices. Are we the right firm for you? Do we provide the solutions you are looking for? Are we too cheap, or too expensive? Can you trust us?
If you are not sure, then we need to give you the information to make your decisions. That’s why I have been writing this column every month for over fifteen years (and some of you have been reading it!) That is why, when someone asks us a price, we give a straight answer. We never say, “Plus VAT”, as that is hiding a 20% price hike.
Our ‘North Star’, our ‘raison d’etre’, is to deliver peace of mind to everyone we interact with as a business. This means if you ask us a question, we will give you a straight answer. If you ask us to do something that can’t be done, we will tell you. If you seek our advice, we will give you an honest opinion. Because, only when you have all the information that you need, you can make the decision that is right for you, your family and your future.

ith the centenary of Warners as a key feature of the town less than a year away, it was very interesting to catch up recently with Michael Warner, Marketing Director at Warners Midlands PLC, and a fourthgeneration member of the Warner family.
The pride in the business, founded by his great-grandfather, Lorenzo (“Lorry”) Warner comes through so clearly in everything he says and does in ensuring that the people of Bourne and district understand and appreciate just what this highly successful business actually does on a national stage, and how it provides employment for several hundred people in the town.
Michael is a big advocate of the “Open Door” policy as everyone is encouraged to get in touch and take part in tours around the large factory, now occupying over ten acres of land between West Street and the Well Head Park. Michael reeled off a list of clubs and associations, from Rotarians through to Brownies and Scouts who have recently accepted the offer of a guided tour.
A large business like Warners needs to be very conscious of both energy consumption and recycling statistics. By having installed a large quantity of solar roof panels, electricity consumption has seen a 15% reduction over the past year. The “landfill avoidance rate” stands at 99.94%, whilst the majority of the “raw material” used in the production of its many and varied magazines comes from recycled paper.
Pride in one’s workplace and its neighbourhood is behind Warners’ monthly call-out to its staff to volunteer some of their lunchtime to “litter-pick”, which has seen a very favourable response.
We await the centenary celebrations with keen anticipation.
OUR COMMUNITY WORKING TOGETHER FOR BOURNE, CAWTHORPE, DYKE & TWENTY
✦ Volunteer and join an organised litter pick
✦ Create your own litter picking group EVERYONE
You can start in your home, garden, under your hedge, down your street, on a street in the town, at your place of work, help a neighbour by litter picking for them, make sure any water course you are responsible for is clear and tidy.

In 1874, Edward Briggs, a shepherd and owner of Cuckoo Bush Cottage drew up a Last Will and Testament, leaving the house to his son: “Whereas about 14 years since, my son and only child Edward Briggs went, as I believe, to Australia, and I am not aware whether he is now alive…”
The search for Edward Briggs Junior seems to have been diligent and prolonged, with adverts in American newspapers. But the trail eventually went cold, and Cuckoo Bush passed to his two nieces from Osbournby. They, in turn, flogged the Cuckoo Bush Cottage at a Public Auction held at The Angel Hotel right in the centre of Bourne on Thursday March 15th, 1877. It was bought by Thomas Hardwick, a farmer who lived in West Street before moving to North Lodge on North Road. If you stand outside the Galletly Medical Centre entrance today, you can see the North Lodge farmhouse across the road, dated 1855, with its
world-class chimneys commanding attention. Going back, you have to imagine Cuckoo Bush Cottage standing alone by the turnpike, just a little to the north of Christopher’s Lane, much later to be absorbed in the bricks and mortar of Bourne before demolition in 1965.
We cannot leave this story without speculating on the unusual name, which quite possibly originated as a field name, which became a parcel of land and also a cottage. Cuckoo Bush suggests the very bad habits [“obligate brood parasitism” is the technical term] and spring madness of the cuckoo and is consequently not widely favoured. The misbehaviour of the cuckoo is deeply embedded in our folklore, of course, going back to Pliny and Chaucer, and you can choose the precise tales which suit your temperament. One of the common present-day uses is “living in Cloud Cuckoo Land”.

Len Pick was a local farmer and businessman, who decided to leave a lasting legacy to the town which had meant so much to him in his lifetime. It is in this spirit that, on his death in 2004, The Len Pick Trust was formed to give perpetual benefit to the town. Trustees are volunteers, who work by evaluating grant applications. If approved, grants are used to support projects across all walks of town life – including sports, the arts, history and children’s facilities.

The U.K. has experienced several revivals in the 20th century; the Welsh revival in 1904 – 1905, the Scottish Hebrides, 1949-1952 and has been impacted by revivals starting in other parts of the world like the Charismatic renewal, 1960s – 1970s. People’s lives were transformed as multitudes responded to the Spirit of God. Now, God is doing it again!
Please bring your own packed lunch - Tea & Coffee will be provided during breaks.
OBJECTIVES OF THE DAY
✦ To encourage people to anticipate the coming U.K Revival and the outpouring of miracles, signs and wonders.
✦ To bring enlightenment about things which facilitate revivals.
Revival meetings are hosted by Colin & Yvonne Mason
✦ To cultivate a sense of biblical unity amongst churches regardless of denominational differences.
✦ To experience the infilling and refreshing of God’s supernatural power!
Colin and Yvonne are leaders of Love House Fellowship, a house-church in Bourne. They have been involved with church ministry for over fifteen years and relocated from London to Lincolnshire in 2020. They have a heart to see the wounds we carry, especially the deep spiritual ones, healed by the love and power of God.
Each Revival meeting consists of worship, teaching and prayer ministry, in order to commence healing, wholeness, and restoration.
A voluntary freewill offering will be taken on the day for anyone who would like to contribute. Donations can also be made online.
