WHO WE ARE
DRNY is the Protection & Advocacy System and Client Assistance Program (P&A/CAP) for persons with disabilities in New York State. As the P&A/CAP, DRNY advocates for the civil and legal rights for New Yorkers with disabilities.

Our mission is to advance fairness, safety and opportunity for all communities as an ally throughout New York State.
WHAT WE DO
DRNY provides free legal and advocacy services to individuals with disabilities. Working tirelessly to protect and advance the rights of children and adults with disabilities, DRNY is committed to enabling those we serve to exercise their own life choices and fully participate in community life.
DRNY provides these services under our federal grant funded mandates. These grants have been established by Congress to protect the rights, safety, and autonomy of people with disabilities.
OUR INTAKE PROCESS
The Intake Department collects the information necessary to determine what help is available.
Depending on the situation and resources available, DRNY may provide the following services:

All information you provide to the Intake Department is confidential and will not be shared.
OUR PROGRAMS
DRNY carries out its mission in a number of ways: through advocacy, coalition building, litigation, and public information.
We also provide technical support to other advocates for people with disabilities in New York.
