New show homes launch at popular South Gloucestershire development

New show homes at Park Farm Thornbury now open Two brand new show homes at a popular South Gloucestershire housing development have just launched, as the surge in interest in buying a new home continues post lockdown.

The show homes and sales centre are open by appointment only but virtual one-to-one tours via video phone are proving hugely popular as well the 3D virtual tours on the development website.

The new show homes at Barratt Homes' Park Farm in Thornbury opened last week as the final phase of construction resumes following the covid restrictions. Several of the new homes will be ready to move into later this summer.

Set within 27 acres of open space outside the popular town of Thornbury, Park Farm will also offer sports pitches, parks and an orchard and is within walking distance of the Ofsted ‘outstanding' rated St Mary's Church of England Primary School.

The 5-star housebuilder has seen a huge upswing in interest in buying a new home in recent weeks with a 97% rise in enquiries last month, compared to the same period last year.

NHS workers and members of the armed forces are offered a 5% contribution, up to £15,000, on a new home a Park Farm under Barratt’s NHS Deposit Contribution Scheme and Armed Forces Deposit Contribution Scheme. The government’s Help to Buy scheme is also available enabling buyers to become owners with just a five percent deposit on their new home, up to a value of £600,000.

Two new house types have been introduced to the fourth and final phase of Park Farm, offering first time buyers, families and downsizers alike a wide variety of home designs and layouts to suit a range of requirements. Features of the new Woodcote home include a large and luxurious main bedroom with en-suite occupying the whole of the top floor and a fourth bedroom that also makes an ideal home-office. 18

The current scheme is set to change next April, becoming open only to first time buyers and for homes up to £349,000. As a result, there are only ten homes left at Park Farm that will qualify for the current scheme.
