L
a filière bovine australienne était au grand complet, le mardi 31 janvier à Marrakech, autour de l’Australian Trade & Investment Commission (Austrade) et des représentants du Gouvernement de l’Etat de Victoria pour promouvoir la viande australe auprès des grands prescripteurs nationaux. Ces derniers, grande distribution, chaînes hotellières, et représentants des médias ont répondu présents à cette délicieuse invitation. Cette initiative était menée par M. Gerard Seeber, Haut Commissaire Commerce et Investissements. A la suite des échanges formels, un diner officiel a permis d’approfondir les discussions entre les institutionnels australiens et les opérateurs marocains opérants dans l’Agroalimentaire, le tourisme, le conseil & études, ainsi que d’autres secteurs économique. Lors de ce dîner qui s’est tenu au Buddha Bar de Marrakech, plusieurs plats à base de boeuf “premium” australien ont été servis aux convives. Il est a rappelé qu’en 2008, le Gouvernement Australien a nommé un Représentant au Maroc, M. Oussama Alaoui, qui dirige le bureau de la Commission Australienne de Commerce et d’Investissement (Austrade) à Rabat. Il s’agit du seul bureau australien en Afrique du Nord.

he Australian beef industry was in full swing on Tuesday, January 31 in Marrakech, around the Australian Trade & Investment Commission (Austrade) and representatives of the Government of Victoria to promote southern meat to major national prescribers. The latter, retailers, hotel chains, and representatives of the media have responded to this delicious invitation. The initiative was led by Mr. Gerard Seeber, High Commissioner for Trade and Investment. Following formal exchanges, an official dinner allowed to deepen discussions between the Australian institutions and the attending Moroccan operators, mainly operating in the agri-food, tourism, consultancy, as well as other economic sectors. During this dinner, held at the Buddha Bar in Marrakech, several Australian premium beef dishes were served to the guests. It was recalled that in 2008 the Australian Government appointed a Representative in Morocco, Mr. Oussama Alaoui, who heads the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) office in Rabat. It is the only Australian office in North Africa.
