soft things

Why do we need ‘soft’ ?

In the modern environment, we are all unbalanced and have different ‘invisible’ stresses. Although the gaps are different for each individual, the soft nature of the object will always heal us and thus rebalance our emotions. On the flip side, our perception of ourselves is not transparent and we are not aware of our true emotions. Hopefully, you will be able to capture here the substances that have never been noticed and perceived as ambiguous, to be able to balance your emotional space and heal yourself.

1

THE HEALING OF THE ENVIRONMENT

During the lockdown of the pandemic, we had very limited physical experience. We were confined to our house, unable to leave homes, to travel and experience the healing effects of nature on our mental health.

Spreading out in the wilderness to your heart’s content.

SANDBEACH

The fine sand mixed with sea water brushes against the skin.

The relaxation and pleasure of the senses need to be borne in mind. After the electronic revolution, the world presented by electronic images is no longer strange to our eyes but natural. This loss of strangeness has also led to a loss of our physical experience. Immersive AR experiences have gradually become more common, especially in the wake of the pandemic, but the moment you take off your stereoscopic glasses brings more than a sense of emptiness.

2 SOCIAL INTERACTION

Body-engagement reduces distance and the separate self/body dissolves through touch. The full significance of touch as an encounter and a merging together of bodies is found in the embrace. Yet the growth of the self (the separate, the different) requires the element of non-distance attained in the unity of the embrace. The Embrace: On the Element of Non-Distance in Human Relations, Z. D. Gurevitch, 1990

son’s body partially become one’s own.

In the age of social media, everything is focused on the visual. Each of us has to look like we are right, like normal people.

3 APPEARANCE & REALITY

BODY Embracing diversity of bodies and understanding different aesthetic states.

CLOUD We focus more on the appearance of things and tend to ignore the things themselves.

It looks like a sticky marshmallow, but in essence it is foggy and moist.

The difference that exists between appearances and reality is the lie of social media. We are constantly being blinded and deceived by so-called politicians. Hopefully, we can all live our true selves.

In the age of pandemics where everyone is at risk, everyone wants to be hidden away in a soft yet hard ‘shell’. Lockdown forces us to withdraw our attention from the troubled outside world, to re-examine ourselves and empty ourselves.

4 SENSE OF SECURITY

WOOLEN Like the cocoon a butterfly weaves for itself, it finds warmth for the lonely heart to rely on.

5 WORK PRESSURE

What we think of as healing in our daily lives is in fact both ‘healing’ and ‘depressing’.

HAIR The moment when the fingertips brush through the silky hair is filled with ambiguity.

Hair loss trouble is always a curse that cannot be escaped.

FOOD When the body consumes carbohydrates, the brain secretes dopamine, a hormone that makes people feel happy.

However, if too much is consumed, it can cause adverse reactions and also increase the risk of hundreds of diseases.

SENSORY EXPERIENCE

The senses are the bridge that connects us to the world, and they can roam infinitely.
