Hanna Bos

Hannah Bos is a 6th-year teacher currently teaching 4th grade at Hanford Christian School and has been involved in her community for over 12 years, teaching dance at Kings Dance Center in Hanford She holds both a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s in Teaching with an emphasis in literacy from Fresno Pacific University, where she was a dean's list student and a presidential scholar. Passionate about helping youth, Hannah has served on committees at the Child Mind Institute for 8 years, volunteered with the Cinderella Project Hanford for 4 years, and has contributed to the Miss California Organization in various roles for 7 years

Danielle Leal

Danielle Leal is a stay-at-home mom to two boys, Jude (5) and Russ (2), and is expecting her third child in November. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Broadcasting from California State University, Fresno, and owns Shades of Sunless, a mobile spray tanning business. Danielle has an extensive background in broadcasting as a former Farm Broadcaster, Producer, and Podcast Host for AgNet West Radio Network, where she covered agricultural issues across 30+ radio stations She also worked as a General News/Business Reporter for the Visalia Times-Delta In addition to her business and family life, Danielle is the Freshman Volleyball Coach at Tulare Union High School, a youth leader at her church, and a recently retired board member of Family Services of Tulare County, where she served as Secretary. With 14 years of pageantry experience, she has competed in organizations such as American Coed, National American Miss, Miss Teenage California, and Miss California USA Blaire Bese

Blaire is a school counselor at Mt. Whitney High School, where she previously served as a Musical Assistant Director and Choreographer for 10 years She also directs Visalia Emergency Aid’s Race Against Hunger Blaire earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Fresno Pacific University and her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Alliant International University. She is a member of the Alpha Chi National Honors Society. In the Miss America Organization, Blaire holds multiple titles, including Miss Central Valley (2014, 2017), Miss Sierra Nevada (2018), and Miss San Francisco (2019), and she earned a top talent award in the Miss California Pageant She is also an active volunteer with Visalia Emergency Aid, Miracle League, Special Olympics, and Relay for Life. Blaire has been married to her husband Matt for 4 years, and they have a 2-year-old son, Rhett, who is the joy of her life.

JUDGES

Daniel Townsend

Daniel is a K-3rd grade music teacher in the Visalia Unified School District, where he previously taught 2nd grade. He has also served as a Voice Instructor for Dancers Edge and as a musician for the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish Daniel earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from California State University, Fresno, and his Master’s Degree in Education at the University of California He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and is a Smittcamp Family Honors College Scholar.

Daniel’s love for music extends beyond the classroom. He serves his community by cohosting children’s concerts with the Sequoia Symphony Orchestra and Fresno Philharmonic, and conducting and providing music for productions with Visalia Unified School District, Tulare County Office of Education, Selma Arts Center, and Visalia Players. Daniel also performs the National Anthem for various community agencies, including Source LGBT+ Center, California Fresno University Fresno, Fresno Rainbow Pride, Visalia Unified School District, and the Visalia Rawhide

Auditor Heather Goehring Bennett

Heather Goehring Bennett is a CPA and a Dinuba High School Class of 1994 graduate, she has also newly opened her own CPA firm in Kingsburg, Alvarado Bennett Company CPA.

Delilah Sichmeller

Delilah is currently in her junior year at California State University, Northridge. She is studying Cell and Molecular Biology, and is on a pre-med track. Delilah graduated from Moorpark High School in 2024 and was ranked 5th in her class She served as an intern at Caldera Medical, which specializes in medical devices geared towards women ’ s health

Delilah is the current Miss California Teen Volunteer and placed top 16 at the national level. She completed over 1500 hours of community service and received the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Delilah is also a host of the Podcast “Chat for a Change,” which interviews changemakers from around the globe At just 15 years old, she became a published author of a children’s book She has presented her book, along with a slideshow, to over 1200 California students

Delilah devotes much of her time serving her community. She is a youth mental health ambassador coordinator for the non-profit Childhood Matters, volunteers in the ICU at a local hospital, and collects recyclables and donates the proceeds to environmental organizations Delilah has also hosted blood drives for The Red Cross, Toy and Book drives for CHLA, and coat drives for her local food pantry.

NATHALIE GAYTAN

Contestant #1 is Nathalie Gaytan. Nathalie is the daughter of Enoel & Maritza Gaytan.

Her honors include NJROTC program - Daughters of the American Revolution award awarded to female cadet for outstanding leadership, honor, courage, service and patriotism; 3rd place color guard competition; Reserve Organize of America- outstanding dedication to citizenship, knowledge of civic responsibility, military orientation, self discipline and a sound work ethic; NJROTC ribbons showcasing achievements such as best cadet of the year & leadership camp completion, and DHS student of the month.

She was part of the stage crew DHS drama musical and is currently a codirector of the SCHEMATA Club.

Her future plans are to attend community college to obtain her Associates degree and transfer to a 4-year university to study Business. She would like to own her own business

The platform Nathalie has chosen is Lupus Awareness/Research She chose this platform to bring awareness to the chronic illness that occurs when the immune system attacks the body's organs and tissues She states, “ Nathalie would like to be Miss Dinuba because she wants to be in a way that is only made possible by serving as Miss Dinuba She’d love to have more opportunities to network, grow her personal skills, and share her gifts with her community

MADISON AVILA

Contestant #2 is Madison Avila. Madison’s parents are Daniel & Sharde Avila.

Madison’s academic honors include Principal's Honor Roll, as well as, competing in both HOSA and National History Day

She is a member of several programs at Dinuba High School includingHOSA, NAMI, National History Day, Color Guard and IGNITE Club

Madison’s future plans include attending UC Berkeley where she will pursue a career in Neurology

Madison chose the platform “Promoting Childhood Literacy ” She has always had a love for reading and aspires to provide the youth of Dinuba opportunities for fueling their desire to read, equipping them for a pathway to academic success and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

Madison would like to be Miss Dinuba because it would be an honor to support and empower the next generation of her community. She states, “This role would not only allow me to continue my efforts in fostering a love for reading, but also deepen my connection with our community.” As she prepares to transition to college, she sees this as a meaningful way to give back to a community that has given her so much.

Contestant #3 Sarah J Vega She is the daughter of Andrew & Melissa Vega

Sarah’s academic honors include Principal’s award, Musicianship Award, Principal’s Honor Roll, and Academic Block D She’s involved in many programs at DHS including band, Madrigals, drama, track, basketball, Link Crew and she also volunteers as a leader in Children’s Ministry at her church

Sarah J’s future plans include attending California Institute of the Arts to major in Character Animation. Sarah would like to work for Disney as a character designer.

Her platform is titled “Pursuit of Passion.” Sarah J would like to aid others in discovering/pursuing their passions. She would like to help develop a way to expose students to opportunities that will spark their interests and motivate them so that they have a better idea on how to pursue their dreams. She says “I want to inspire them to have a plan for their education that will lead them to their desired positions after high school I would love for elementary kids to be more exposed to what high school has to offer and the benefits of extracurricular activities ”

Sarah J would like to be Miss Dinuba because she would love to maintain the beautiful example that each Miss Dinuba has presented individually over the years Sarah says, “Overall, I trust that God has a plan, and whatever girl attains the position will be the right fit for His grand vision for the next year, but I would love to have the opportunity to serve my God, my community, and do my best to be a great reflection of Dinuba ”

ROSE BARRETO

Contestant #4 is Rose Barreto She is the daughter of Laura Carranza & Jose Luis Barretto

Rose’s academic honors include Principal's Honor Roll and AP Scholar Her involvements include babysitting and DHS tennis

Her future plans are to attend UC Irvine. She would like to work toward becoming an astrochemist.

Her platform is titled “Change for a Better Tomorrow.” She would like to spread awareness about the long-term benefits that going green and sustainability could have on our community. Rose says, “Understanding that this is a gradual process for most people, even the small steps taken that can contribute to sustainable living can make a positive impact on the environment By spreading awareness, it is my hope we can come together and create a healthier environment for future generations ”

Rose would like to be Miss Dinuba because it would give her a chance to prove that she is capable of accomplishing much more than what was ever thought possible As Miss Dinuba she knows her community will continue to support her ambitions as the leaders surrounding her as she’s grown up have done so willingly She plans to make Dinuba even better than it already is as she continues to grow ”

Contestant #5 is Aaliyah Costa Aaliyah is the daughter of Ceceila Olea and Christopher Costa,and step parents Lenea Costa and Leonardo Olea

Her honors include Med Academy, Honors and AP classes, choir president, and HOSA state competitions

Aaliyah is involved in various programs such as DHS Madrigals and Concert Choir, Senior Council (where she is the Activity/Rally Commissioner), Link Crew, DHS HOSA Officer Team: Social Media Coordinator, HOSA State Leadership Conferences, and #Lead Program

Aaliyah's future plans are to attend UC Santa Barbara and pursue medicine with the hopes of one day becoming an emergency room doctor.

Aaliyah chose the platform “Overcoming the Stigmas in Mental Health in Different Cultures.” She believes the problem is, when many think of mental health, a lot of people believe that having a bad mental health can be considered weak, especially when it comes to different cultures.

Aaliyah says “Even in today's world having a bad mental health can still be considered weak to others ”

Aaiyah would like to be Miss Dinuba because she would like to get more involved in the community, so she is able to reach out to people She wants to be able to build new relationships with people in our community Being Miss Dinuba would give her the opportunity to be a role model for boys and girls, just like the former Miss Dinubas have done for her It would be an honor to represent and be the face of Dinuba

KATHYA FARIAS

AALIYAH COSTA

Contestant #6 is Kathya Farias Her mother is Miriam Manzo Kathya has received the Athletic Trainer Intern Award, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Award, and Principal’s Honor Roll.

She is a member of SkillsUSA, Colorguard, Upward Bound, #LEAD, HOSA , NAMI, National History Day Club. She also volunteers at the SPCA, Visalia Animal Care Center shelter and assists with meal distribution at the Poverello House.

Kathya’s platform is on the subject of Compassion Towards Animals She believes animals, such as service dogs, help humans and the world in ways many people don’t consider Kathya states, “The benefits of interacting with animals are immeasurable It can reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and increase feelings of empathy and compassion ”

Her future plans are to study Criminology or Law She would like to attend either UC Berkeley or NYU

Kathya would like to be Miss Dinuba because she is committed to maximizing her contributions to the community and wants to express her gratitude to those who've supported her throughout my journey Kathya wants to do the most she can for her community and give back to everyone who has given so much to her through the years Her goal is to serve as a role model for younger generations and advocate for those who may feel voiceless.

Contestant #7 is Ailyn Jimenez She is the daughter of Alejandra and Cesar Jimenez

Ailyn’s honors include Certification in Floral Culture & Outstanding Leadership in Cheerleading She is a member of the DHS cheer and Drill teams and the NLDC all star cheer team Ailyn enjoys painting, making art and crafts, running, hiking, and spending time with her dog outdoors. She volunteers distributing food to the homeless and aids with whatever is needed at Terry’s House- a home for families of critical care patients.

Her future plans are to attend a community college and then transfer to California State University, Fresno, where she intends to major in Business Administration and Management. She intends to own her own business in the future.

Ailyn’s platform is titled “Helping Hands” and focuses on helping the homeless She feels the issue of homelessness is often overlooked, and addressing it presents a good opportunity to foster community unity By providing essential resources, we can make a meaningful impact and foster a stronger, more connected community We can all be the hands to help those in need

Ailyn would like to be Miss Dinuba because she aspires to effect meaningful change within her community while continuously striving for personal improvement Serving as Miss Dinuba would provide a real opportunity to foster unity, and collaborate to offer essential resources, shelter, and compassion to those in need

Contestant #8 is Ava Rose Arias She is the daughter of Marlena & TJ Celaya, and Freddy Arias

Ava’s academic honors include Principal’s Honor Roll, Academic All League, HOSA State Competition Winner, National History Day State Qualifier, CSF, and Camp Royal Participant Ava’s involvements include participating in DHS Water Polo, Basketball, Track and Field, as well as being a National Alliance for Mental Illness Officer, HOSA Member, ASB Vice President, #LEAD member, and a part of DHS Student Council. She also serves as a Lifeguard for the City of Dinuba , volunteers at a convalescent home, does swim lessons and tutoring sessions, and hosts events for her nonprofit Books Breaking Barriers.

Her future plans are to attend UCLA and major in Psychology. She would like to take the Pre Medical Path as she pursues her dream of becoming a Psychiatrist

Ava’s platform is “Forming Foundations” It aims to support children who come from broken and blended homes She chose this platform because she is a product of a broken home, and realizes how support and awareness can be a pivotal stepping stone during adolescence

Ava would like to be Miss Dinuba because she is ready to repay the community that has shaped her into the person she is today By serving as a role model for the children of her community, she hopes to spread awareness to those that are products of broken and blended homes, so they do not feel alone or ashamed as she once did She believes that she can make a positive difference in the lives of adolescents in Dinuba

Contestant #9 is Mariah Sahagun She is the daughter of Robert and Christina Sahagun

MARIAH SAHAGUN

Mariah’s awards include Completion Award for Criminal Justice and CSI, and JAMZ Cheer Award for Most Spirited

Mariah is a part of Dinuba High School Colorguard and Cheer, Leadership, and Link Crew She volunteers by coaching Dinuba Youth Cheer and helping at Open Gate Ministries

Her future plans are to attend Reedley College where she plans to get her AS Degree in Business Management. She also wants to attend a Vocational School to become an Ultrasound Technician.

Mariah's platform is on the topic of Human Trafficking and is titled “Break the Invisible Chain.” She is committed to raising awareness about human trafficking and aims to educate her generation and younger individuals. Mariah explains, “By learning to recognize the signs of trafficking, we can support both those at risk and law enforcement efforts Increased awareness can help us protect potential victims and prevent exploitation ”

Mariah would like to be Miss Dinuba because she wants to positively influence the younger generation Serving as a role model and mentor, she believes she can help shape their values and decisions, fostering a community of growth and unity Mariah wants to spread the message that it just takes one person to be the change

ALEXIS LOPEZ

Contestant #10 is Alexis Lopez She is the daughter of the late David Lopez, and step dad & mom, Joe & Tina Bueno Alexis’ academic honors include Principal Honor Roll-2023-2024, Coaches award-DHS Softball, Public Service Announcement state finalistHOSA

Her future plans are to attend the University of Southern California where she plans to major in Biology Upon completion, she plans to go on to dental school and become a Pediatric Dentist

Alexis’ platform is titled “Light Through The Darkness.” Her platform highlights the need for supporting children through grief. It emphasizes the importance of providing resources that enable children to express their emotions and experiences, ensuring their grief is acknowledged both at home and in school settings.

Alexis would like to be Miss Dinuba because she would be honored to inspire the younger generation as they grow into future leaders of our community and beyond She wants them to understand that if they believe in themselves and set clear goals they truly have the potential to achieve big things and make a real impact Alexis also thinks the opportunity to continue her current leadership role in school and the chance to inspire her community would be very meaningful

2023-2024 Miss Dinuba Catricia Alvarez. She is the I8-yeardaughter of Jose & Cristina Alvarez. Catricia is 2023 graduate of Dinuba High School

Catricia is enrolled in Reedley College and is involved in various activities such as SkillsUSA. Her goal is to become a teacher.

Catricia’s platform last year was titled Look Up & and is on the topic of unplugging from our devices and plugging into life. Catricia chose this platform to spread awareness on the negative impact electronic devices are playing in our everyday lives. Catricia believes that there is so much more to life to experience than what our electronic devices are offering and preoccupying us all with if we just take the initiative to “Look Up”
