该系馆建设用地位于校园一角，北与土木学院办公教学楼相邻，东南向是滨河森 林公园，西北向与校园图书馆隔路相望；整个基地西、北向建筑紧凑，东南向视 野开阔，故设计考虑将系馆主建筑体背向土木学院，面向南面景观绿化，并结合 系馆小体量体块围合成半围合庭院，使系馆相对自身封闭，对外又极其开放灵动。
