2003 Vietnam $1 Aluminium Bronze Uncirculated Coin Honouring the service of Australia’s Vietnam veterans, the design of this $1 coin emulates the dramatic architectural aspects of the Australian Vietnam Forces National Memorial in Canberra’s Anzac Parade. The memorial’s central ring, which contains the names of those Australians who lost their lives while serving in Vietnam, features prominently in the design. The major pictorial image on the holder and outer sleeve displays the Memorial at night. While the coin honours the contribution of our returned troops, it also pays homage to those who made the supreme sacrifice for their country.
