Day Trippers to Peterborough

Peterborough’s illuminations are on and there’s plenty to see and do this festive season from ice skating to Christmas markets, train rides with Santa and fun for the kids indoors and out.

Of course there’s plenty of shopping to be done but you can make it a fun event by enjoying a range of magical entertainment and surprises every weekend in the Queensgate Shopping Centre. It’s worth popping in to see the lights and decorations and of course Santa. This year he’s gone tech-savvy with his Giant Virtual Reality Bauble, a super-cool VR headset experience that will transport the whole family to Santa’s workshop in Lapland! Throughout the Christmas season there’ll be visits from the Roller Bauble Trio, a Christmas acrobatic show featuring a mind-blowingly bendy Christmassy contortionist, a bauble stilt walker, an aerial hoop snowflake and an acrobatic elf. Families will also have the amazing opportunity to capture a photo of their ‘resting Grinch face’ in Queensgate’s giant Snow Bauble and also join the DIY bauble workshop.
