Win a Ticket to Skylark

In this issue

Welcome back!

What makes your Christmas? For us it’s a host of different characteristics that normally come together for a magical, fun day. As a child, receiving a stocking and opening the small gifts inside with wearilyopened eyes (4am wake-up call) was always met with heightened excitement. These days though, seeing others receive gifts and enjoying a hearty Christmas lunch would have to be my answer. However, one thing that trumps the actual day itself is the steady festive build-up. Some may say Christmas starts too early, and with one local shop near us selling Christmas trees at the start of November we would have to say that’s far too early even in our book. The beginning of Christmas comprises of festive markers that must be honoured - the advent calendar, the decorations, a trip to a panto, posting your letter to Father Christmas, the school Christmas fair and perhaps even visiting a grotto. Going to the panto is one we focus on in this issue, with a good look at four of the region’s top seasonal performances. As you know, Term Times always tries to bring you excellent competitions. In this issue we offer a chance to win one of three different books, all great reads and for different ages this Christmas Plus, don’t miss out on a chance to win a child's ticket for all things Christmas at Skylark Garden Centre near March. Our ‘Day Trippers’ feature is a seasonal look at family Christmas activities in Peterborough. This regular feature, partnered by Hegarty Solicitors, aims to bring you a family guide to activities both nearby and a little further away. Looking ahead to 2023, we want to wish all our readers, schools, and advertisers a fun-filled and positive New Year when we will be looking at some new features that we may not have covered before. Therefore, with one final call-out, please email us with any suggestions, comments, or ideas you may have for next year. Wishing you all happy holidays. Amanda E d i t o r i a l
