Dillon is situated in a sweeping valley where the Big Hole and Beaverhead Rivers converge. The Beaverhead River is a blue-ribbon trout stream, a favorite for expert anglers. The Big Hole River is a “best kept secret” fishing spot.

Ranches, cattle, sheep, and hay production are the main economic drivers in the valley. Rodeo is one of the biggest area attractions.

Bannack State Park is one of the country’s best preserved ghost towns, located just southwest of Dillon. Speaking of ghost towns, don’t forget Coolidge ghost town located on the Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway.

Don’t forget to check out the Lewis and Clark Trail, Clark’s Lookout State Park and the Beaverhead County Museum.

Take a walk in Dillon and visit our eclectic shops, bars, and restaurants for your enjoyment!
