Site : Delhi |Type : Hospital | induviual project

project The studio was about designing An Orthopedic Hospital consisting of fifty beds. Located in west of Delhi, Janapuri. The studio’s aim was to bring a clear understanding of the service in hospital and hand to hand working of different spaces of hospital with deisgn to cater the patients metal and phycal health.

Site Janapuri, in a aerial view seems like it is a concrete jungle, with no space to breath. The site is surrounded by busy roads and slum.

Concept Development

Design concept of the project was dierved from the context and the solar movement.

Stage:1 Half area of the site was extureded.

Stage:2 A portion of the mass was jumbled inorder to reduce the solar heat gain in the west.

Stage:3 The removed mass was repostion at the east face.

Stage:4 Scaling the mass to provide open roof space.

Stage:5 Puncture created on the Ipd portion provide more natural ligth, ventilation and open space.

project Objective of the studio was to design a mixed-use development, a project mix consisting of office, mall and a exhibition centre. The studio’s aim was to make us understand how to analysis the site surrounding in order to plan the project programmes for a successful mixed use project and the service in a high rise building alone with planning different types in one type. .

Site At the border of Delhi and Haryana lies the site in dlf phase 2, which is an IT industrial hub that is steadily growing. The site is well connected through road, metro and near IGI airport.

Concept Development

The front of the site us facade of the main arterial road, hence planning of mall would give a frontage and easy access of the type

The exhibition centre is join with the mall surface as to give a connected service networking of the both typologies Connecting with green in center

Office is placed at the rear end into two blocked creating a vista to connect the future expansion site and to have a elevation of gliding heights from front .

The mall is zoned in four floor where the ground floor is planned for the hypermarkets for the easy of flow for the people in the move beside which is a slit parking.

The mall's main entey starts at the first floor with all kinds of store floowed by food court and top most has the theather The Convention center share a edge with the mall inodrer to minimums the service movement needed for the both as exhibition hall and meeting rooms are planned in ground floor as in would be easy to move material in and out. and help the flow of moving crowd followed by a auditirium on the top.

The office is placed at the rear end for future expansion. the office building is planned in way that connect the site behind with a vista and all the service can reach the building with other interferences
