Logan Botanic Gardens

T-W-T Event 27/4/25
The intrepid group of photographers who travelled to the far west of Dumfries and Galloway were blessed in having a bright, occasionally cloudy, but wholly dry day for their visit to the magnificent Logan Botanic Gardens. With a wide variety of habitat types, the garden is home to some extremely rare plants such as Rhododendron kanehiraias as well as having a literal forest of South American Gunnera. The fact that the gardens also have a fine greenhouse and a well-stocked café , added to what all present agreed was a most enjoyable outing.
The organiser would like to thank Alan Hannah (Garden Supervisor) and Colin Belton (Chief Horticulturist) of the RGBE (Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh who run Logan) for their assistance in making the day such a success.
