What the heck am I about to read?

This is a weird little zine / micro-chapbook of poems inspired by a spam email I received. I was drawn to the peculiar poetry of the probable-bot, who was trying to seduce me with clunky mysterious lines like: ‘I stroked him his chest, abdomen, sponges.’

I was captivated.

So I used only lines, phrases and words* from this spam email to create 5 poems (*this included changing the tense of words e.g. from ‘breathed’ to ‘breathing’). I also used the text manipulator http://glassleaves.herokuapp.com/ to scramble words, to splice and reverse sentences, etc.

Thank you for reading this odd little zine with its disgustingly 90’s Word-tastic aesthetic.

Weightless Your breathy movements are close to torture. Emily, you’re almost transparent. You are weightless silk caressing carpet,

weighing down my freedom.

I’m heavily tied to you and this bedroom
