a Plane, a schooner, a taxi cab in paris will be his rozinante; his faithful "brook" his sancho panza; and every lady from eight to eighty his damsel in distress.
to this gallant, loving and loved man we will not say "good bye " but, rather, "bon voyage ". Wherever his dreams take him and wherever he finds new seas to sail , we hope he will hold close in his heart the memories of this westbrook and of the friends he made here.

the tower '77 honors two outstanding faculty members in their year of retirement thelma hillson adams a true and valued friend and dedicated col league, thelma adams is always ready to give of herself. integrity, loyalty, sensitivity, knowledge of her field are just a few of her qualities of character. i' ll remember- lunches squeezed in among students' questions; machine repairs ; and telephone calls; skating on the lake; trips to boston , philadelphia, lewiston , and bowdoin; birthday lunches, and always, the warmth of her understanding in times of sorrow. e.h. a woman completely dedicated to her work, her teaching career has been her primary interest. the national accreditation of the medical assistant's program has been due entirely to thelma adams' perseverance and hard work. f .s. thelma adams, a tradition at westbrook since 1944. her professionalism and leadership have enriched the quality of the business education department. her genuine interest in her students has earned her the respect of all. she will be missed. j. f.d .
