COOLING DOWN PROVIDENCE VILLAGE

ONE WINDOW AT A TIME

Running his own business, professionally engaging with his community, and operating out of his garage, it’s hard to believe Jeff Simmerman has only been running Providence Village Window Tint for a little over 3 months. When COVID-19 shut down the nation, business instantly slowed for Jeff, who was working as a tinter at AutoNation Ford Frisco. In a time of uncertainty, he took matters into his own hands, left Ford and pioneered his own venture.

eff fi rst started tinting at his uncle’s shop in Colorado Springs when he was 21. His mother had been the bookkeeper there for years, so he naturally joined the business once he was old enough. For three months, Jeff cleaned up the shop and was only allowed to observe the tinting process. He absorbed his environment and was eventually allowed to tint windows here and there, but only when absolutely necessary.

Jeff loved tinting right off the bat. It allowed him to work with his hands and gave him a sense of accomplishment, an “I made that” feeling after a project was done. As he grew with the shop, he became one of the best tinters they had. Simmerman continued tinting in Colorado for ten years before moving to Texas.

Born out of the struggles of the Coronavirus lockdown, Providence Village Window Tint is doing better than ever. Jeff started by offering free vehicle pick-up and delivery service for auto tinting so clients wouldn’t have to leave their homes during quarantine. He enjoys working out of his garage for its controlled environment. While heat and humidity affect the tinting process differently in Texas than in Colorado, Jeff keeps a clean and organized space to ensure premium work. Providence Village Auto Tint isn’t just exclusively for autos. Jeff also services homes and businesses for window tinting. Like auto tinting, home and offi ce tinting allows for privacy and cooler temps as well.

Prior to fi nding his love of tinting, Jeff worked several different jobs. He has experience in the fast food industry, was as a bus boy, worked at a daycare and also for an organization that helps people with disabilities. However, once he discovered his joy for tinting vehicles and, mostly, serving his community, Jeff says, “It was the fi rst time I felt accomplished at work.” His efforts began fulfi lling him in a way it never had before.

Jeff hopes to move out of his garage and into a larger facility one day, utilizing the qualities instilled in him by his uncle, who Jeff says was customer-focused and taught him everything he knows. For now, his primary focus is serving Providence Village with high quality tinting, paired with loyal, trustworthy business practices. “I want to serve this

community, integrate myself within and be a bigger part of it,” he says.

Jeff’s mindset of high work quality and commitment to the community is what makes him an exceptional business owner and will contribute to the success of Providence Village Window Tint. Not only is he focused on maintaining a superior quality of work, but connecting with the community and building relationships. Jeff Simmerman
