For the history buffs, the Rose Hill Plantation State Historic Site in Sumter National Forest tells the story of many generations of plantation dwellers.

Consider making a reservation at the Piedmont Physic Garden , a botanical garden that is home to a collection of ornamental plants and plants with a medicinal history. Adrenaline junkies, on the other hand, may want to hit the Union County Dragway.
