Include Wisdom to Make Your Health Outcomes Awesome
The Bible notes, “Wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.” WOW. Wisdom is forwardthinking about what to do or not do when a specific situation arises. Further, when action is needed and the correct course is desired, the correct recommendation for what to do is termed wisdom. Knowledge in that context is highly desirable. Common sense applications of what to do in the rest of life’s situations may not be applicable in health and wellness issues. We will see.
Assuming truth is what you want it to be in your health is dangerous. BE REAL. Each of us must arrange to live health-providing lives to achieve and retain good health. I made it a standard in my life that, if I was to err regarding healthy lifestyle, it would be on the overly cautious side. Knowledgeable planning for emergencies is invaluable. If your mate or roommate has substantial coronary disease, take a CPR course. Courses are offered locally in most locations.
Whenever sudden severe pain happens (especially in the chest area, abdominal area, or head) call 9-1-1. When you have less severe problems but bothersome, depart immediately to get medical care; don’t wait to see if it gets better. If it betters on the way, you can turn around. Know whether or not your doctor has someone on call. Keep a current document handy of your medical conditions and include a list of medications you are taking and their dosages. Regarding wellness, drugs and supplements know and take the amount recommended- more is not better and can even be harmful. Know and avoid departures from what is the proper dosing. In life, we recognize the valuable principle of moderation and avoid going overboard in our decisions and actions. Just as you don’t spend more than you make, don’t eat more than you

require nutritionally. These are what we should live by, but at times, we take in more than we need and risk accumulations which our bodies can’t handle. Don’t make the mistake of choosing just to live longer. You also (even more so) want to live better as you live longer. Again, assuming truth is what you want it to be is inherently dangerous. Coupling that with the “ignore it and it will go away” mindset becomes beset with danger. This is especially true of vascular conditions, which include heart attacks and strokes. A beginning heart attack may mimic gastrointestinal upsets, leading one to the bathroom for self-treatment. The bathroom is one of the most common rooms to be the place of passing on- BE AWARE. Severe nausea or gas-type pains can happen early. Vascular problems happen instantly. One minute everything is copacetic, and the next one’s condition appears quite serious.
