Learning and implementing Apple Configurator is a process. I have been training on Apple Configurator for years. Initially It took me weeks of trial and error to work out the details. There wasn’t much in the way of documentation a few years ago. I used Configurator to manage iPod Touch devices back then.
I decided to break the lessons into two issues. This provides me the opportunity to cover the process with greater detail and not overwhelm you. This issue covers the basic setup of Apple Configurator.
I cover the creation of a basic Profile for iPads. Profiles are settings we want distributed to the devices we intend to manage. There are lots of setting options in a Profile. I cover the ones that generally provide the basic needs of a campus when setting up devices for student use. Use these lessons to gain a fundamental understanding for how apple Configurator and Profiles work.
