I am so thankful, and super excited that people are still voting for Cynthia’s Cakes as their favorite cake designer.
Next year will mark 40 years that I’ve been designing cakes for a living, and having won the Readers’ Choice Award twelve times makes me truly happy. Nothing lifts my spirits more than having my customers compliment what I do. That’s really my objective – to make people happy. It makes me feel like I’ve accomplished what I set out to do.
Trust is another big component of what we do here at Cynthia’s Cakes. Building trust with customers is something my mother instilled in me long ago, and she was right. When you build trust, customers will come back time and time again. Many of my customers are people and families that I’ve been working with for over 20 years. One of the best feelings I get is when people tell me they trust me.
My business model has changed a bit in the wake of the COVID pandemic. In fact, got COVID pretty bad myself in June, so I’m not comfortable doing in-person appointments just yet. But I’ve found that by using social media sites like Pinterest, Instagram, and Google people can send me their ideas about the colors, themes, and designs they have in mind, and together we can bring it all together. Customers can purchase a sampler and if they like it, they get that cost credited back to their order.
Big social events are coming back. We’re seeing gatherings of 300 to as many as 500 people again, and Cynthia’s Cakes is ready. Whether you need a small graband-go cake, a large elaborate wedding cake, a groom cake, something for a Quinceañera, or any other event, Cynthia’s Cakes can meet your needs. You can send me images of what you have in mind, and I can turn your dream cake into a reality.
