SOLUTIONS BY NOOR Throughout May Various Locations all over Mallorca Part of the Alternatilla Festival which is a multi-arts festival held every year in Mallorca. Alternatilla is an integral part of Mallorca’s cultural scene and it continues to stretch horizons and challenge boundaries. Every year it puts out a rich program which is aimed at creating an open forum where everyone is welcomed to join in, discuss, reflect, and enjoy artistic creation. The NOOR photographic collective and foundation are based in Amsterdam, and combines the talents and perspectives of ten photographers who are some of the most highly recognised and experienced photojournalists working today. The Solutions project is divided into 9 stories which comprise more than 600 images covering a variety of subjects. It showcases a universe of images that capture the imaginative solutions to climate change around the world, including such varied locations as New York, Brazil, the Congo, China, Iceland, Bangladesh, Kenya, Siberia, and Cuba.

SPACE ODDITY 23rd April to 30th June @ CCA Andratx Space Oddity is an international group show conceived especially for the Kunsthalle, CCA Andratx. This exhibition explores the notion of art, space and their interaction by challenging the visitor’s perception. The exhibition will feature paintings, sculptures, video, film, installation, photography, and new media by 30 international contemporary artists. The artists all treat space as something real, constructed, fake or simply deceit in order to describe their own understanding of the subject matter.

ANTONI SOCIAS & CARAMO FANTA 13th May to 4th September @ Es Baluard Mallorcan Antoni Socias uses this project to redefine the conventional view of Africa, and looks to reflect strong and refreshing viewpoints through his work. Warriors Rent a Car

Valldemossa to Deiá Get out on the open road and explore Mallorca with Warriors Rent a Car. One of the most breathtaking and stunning drives in Mallorca is the route that takes you along the coast between Valldemossa and Deiá. With spectacular scenery across the Mediterranean sea and countryside this makes a great drive. Be warned that the road at times is quite bendy as it snakes along the coastline. Head for the Via Cintura and follow the signs to Valldemossa where the road takes you through the countryside of large olive and almond groves. As the road starts to climb you’ll see the village of Valledemossa in the distance, distinguished by its church spire and terrace hillsides.

If you decide to head on to Deia you’ll continue on the coast road where you will come across some beautiful views, so make sure you have your camera with you as it really worth stopping and talking some pictures of the azul blue Mediterranean Sea. Once in Deiá park up and enjoy a wander photo by automotive around the little back rhythems streets, you may even see some famous faces as Micheal Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones have a house nearby and Richard Branson once owned the very elegant La Residencia. Head down to Cala Deiá where you can enjoy a fantastic meal with a glass of vino overlooking the ocean. A little piece of paradise!

Once at the village it is worth parking up and having a wander around. It’s a beautiful village made famous by the writer Robert Graves and classical composer Chopin.

Find detailed maps, photos, alternative routues and lots more at www.digamemallorca.com/drives

We suggest you meander around the cobbled streets and enjoy lunch or a coffee at the beautifully elegant Cappuccino Café.

With offices in Palma, Santa Ponça and Illetes Warriors offer excellent rates with professional and friendly service. All their rates are inclusive of risk insurance, unlimited mileage and tax.
