PROBLEM
Rest Area ITERA is a commercial project designed to offer various facilities for visitors. The primary goal of the design is to ensure user comfort and attract travelers to stop and enjoy the amenities. The main challenges faced by this project include inefficient vehicle circulation and the risk of underutilized facilities, such as food courts and souvenir centers.
SOLUTION
To address these issues, the solution
contemporary design concept. This design introduces a modern architectural style characterized by circular forms. The circular shape is utilized as the primary concept for both circulation design and the building’s main form. All aspects of the building will incorporate contemporary architectural principles to enhance functionality and appeal.
1. EXTROVERSION AND INTROVERSION
The building mass is designed in a circular shape with a two-floor volume. This circular form creates a centralized public area and provides a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscape.
2. ARTICULATING SPACE
The volume is divided into two distinct building masses to accommodate different functions: service centers and supporting facilities. This division also helps to spread the expansive landscape view.
3. CONNECTING
The tapered volumes at the ends of the main building are designed to create a unified and connected appearance.

The Secondary Skin facade with a horizontal grid functions as: - shading shaper - rainwater deterrent - natural air ventilation - aesthetic elements
The scope of this project involves Detail Engineering Design in BIM format using Revit Architecture, with a Level of Development (LOD) up to 350.
